Guess they couldn't make the queen sit through Craig's pretentious drivel for a second time

Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince has been chosen for this year's Royal Film Performance.

The sixth Potter instalment will receive its European premiere in front of a yet-to-be announced member of the Royal Family on 17 November.

Actors Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint reprise their roles, while Jim Broadbent joins the cast.

Last year's Royal Film Performance was cancelled amid controversy about the chosen movie, Brick Lane.

Protestors claimed the film, based on Monica Ali's novel, portrayed residents of London's Brick Lane as uneducated.

A royal spokesman said the controversy had been taken into account, but it had also been impossible to find a date for The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall to attend a screening.

It marked the first time the annual gala had been scrapped since 1958.

The Half-Blood Prince is directed by David Yates, while Steve Kloves - who scripted the first four Potter instalments - has written the screenplay.

The sixth film follows the young wizard as he fights to overcome the new challenges brought about by Lord Voldemort's return.

The last Harry Potter film The Order of the Phoenix was the top-grossing British movie in the UK and Ireland in 2007, taking £470m at the global box office.

A trailer for the latest movie is due to debut on Wednesday and the film will be released in the UK on 21 November.

Like I said on MI6, I couldn't care less about Potter, and if this is taking place as the Royal Premiere this year instead of Bond, I couldn't care less either. I won't get invited, so why should I care?

I could pull some strings if you like. I used to go to school with a guy who was, like, 37th in line to the throne or something.

A couple of years at Millfield. I absolutely hated it.
