Here I was hoping they would have the brass ones to forgo the Song and go with an instrumental overture ala OHMSS.

That would be nice, however, after 40 years I don't think EON is interested in doing an instrumental, epsecially when they have the opportunity to make more money out of a hit singer.

Besides, I don't trust David Arnold on an unstrumental.

Alicia Keys, Jack White Team For Bond Theme

Alicia Keys and the White Stripes' Jack White will record the theme song to "Quantum of Solace," the 22nd James Bond film, which hits U.S. theaters Nov. 7.

The song, "Another Way To Die," will be the first duet in Bond soundtrack history. White wrote and produced the song, and also will play drums. The soundtrack to the movie will be released Oct. 28.

The score for the film will be composed by David Arnold.

"Quantum of Solace," starring Daniel Craig, will be directed by Marc Forster from a screenplay by Neal Purvis & Robert Wade and Paul Haggis.

Amy Winehouse and Leona Lewis had previously been rumored as the vocalists for the latest Bond theme.

My gut reaction is this sounds pretty crap to me. I hate the title of the song, it sounds like something from the Brosnan era, and I hate the fact that Arnold is not involved with the song at all. The collaboration sounds like U2 and Tina Turner's GE - which I absolutely hated!!!!!!

EON, what the hell are you doing? My fears were roused when I saw Craig flying the plane in the QOS trailer, and now this!! Did they not learn anything with what they did during the Brozza era, and with what they have now so miraculously done with CR?

Right now my optimism for this film is waning, especially in light of a truly great film like TDK. Nolan managed to pull off the impossible by making his sequel even better, but I'm beginning to think Babs and Co. only had one great film within them.

Eh,I like Jack White..Keys isn't really my thing but who knows? I would haved liked Duffy too but she's too hyped for some(read: people over at the place that can't be named )

Given how he never once said anything positive about the Bond films starring Daniel Craig, I think we should know the answer already. As long as Craig is involved in a Bond film, BJ is out for blood. If you ask what he thought of an extra who appeared for two seconds on Casino Royale he won't say anything nice about that bloke. As long as Daniel Craig is around, BJ will keep sharpening his teeth before the release date.

Really? They didn't do that well with the last one. That one bombed off the charts and failed to get the normal buzz for the movie these song normally get.
They be better off with an instrumental, they wouldn't have to pay the singer and other music producers.
