Whatever way you look at it, he is not suitable for Bond. Shoe lifts indeed. :|

Maybe they could merge his special shoes into the next movie. They could contain some gadgets.

So is Sam Worthington too short for Bond? Because he's also 5'11''...

Probably not because he is not 5'9 like Daniel Craig. He looks the part of Bond as well, which may help.

Give 'em an inch and they take a mile. Typical.
Hey I've got a good idea, why don't you start going over things from three years ago again.
First the height, and then the hair colour. Maybe next the looks, the life jacket must get a mention next, and how about a good old dose of the stick shift car driving. Ahhhh yes, it's not been done to death yet. Cling to those straws dcinbers, cling with all you might. It really is all you've got left. To regurgitate tired old stories. Did someone say boycott?

Does Mr. Craig still look the same? Is he the same height? Has he bought some charisma off Ebay, or is he still extremely dull?

Can I suggest that Craig has a bouffant haircut for any future Bonds to add a few inches.

I think we should cut the height jokes now and be more sensible. Does anyone know what car Craig will drive in QOS?

It's not a Mini is it?

Wrong, he's 5'11'' unless somebody chopped his feet off. And as Benny says, does it really matter? St. George at MI6 made a very good observation.
nobody gives a toss about this - only Craig's most pathetic of detractors. One viewing of CR - and hopefully QOS - and any bloke who watches Craig as Bond wouldn't care less, I suspect, and certainly many women who watch him as Bond wouldn't give two hoots.

And, for what it's worth, I suspect it could well be true. Filmmaking uses all sorts of tricks to get the right result. It isn't real-life or documentary filmmaking, after all...

So all the sites that show the statistics of him being 5'11 or 6ft are liars are they, and you are the only one who is right.....

Nobody gives a toss...apart from the 44 articles about this on google news and Stocks, The Sweeney, George (whoever he is)...if it's no big deal why do you keep insisting he's (ahem) 5'11? If you enjoyed his performance why do you care? I prefer my Bond actor to look the part and that includes being, well, fairly tall. One of the problems I had with Craig taking the role (and there were many) was that he'd always looked small to me in films I'd seen him in, like Tomb Raider, with his little arms. The revelation that he wears high heels in his Bond films suggests I might have been onto something.

I'm not insisting. I'm merely pointing out the many website statistics showing Craig as 5'11 or 6ft. I've yet to find one single website which reports a statistic showing Craig as 5'9. There isn't any (sorry to spoil your fun, guys)....

Daniel Craig's height is no big deal. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off for a cup of tea and a piece of shortbread.

What is the nature of the Craigster's contract anyway? Brosnan had a three picture contract with an option for a fourth film if I remember correctly.

Depends which news story you read. Some say 3 films, some say 2, some say 5. DC's own statements in interviews often contradict each other. My guess would be 3 films, with options to renew after that on a film-by-film basis if he and EON mutually agree. I think that's what Brozza's contract was.

It is. Ever since 1973, it's been a standard for all Bond actors to have a contract for three films with an optional fourth. So if they do make a third picture in 2011, having the fourth film made in 2013, then that means you'll all have to wait till 2015 for the new Bond actor at best. Don't get your hopes on the possibility of Craig getting the boot if QOS tanks at the BO, because a similar situation happened in 1974 and 1989 and both actors were returning for their third films, although sadly legal entanglements prevented one of them from making a third, namely Dalton. :(

I'm not expecting Craig to get the boot with Barbara around. The real question I think is how long it will take Craig to tire of the Bond circus and being in the spotlight. Like Timothy Dalton, he strikes me as being uncomfortable with some aspects that come with the role, like endless interviews and scrutiny from the press and tabloids.

And Michael G. Wilson.

I don't see any kind of resentment for the role by either. The only thing they were uncomfortable with was the baggage of tabloids but that doesn't get in the way of their work, otherwise they wouldn't have signed up for it in the first place if it really was an overwhelming presence to them. Signing up for Bond is a big decision to make and I'm sure both have accepted the baggage, whether they like it or not. Look how Craig managed it, he admitted the negativity before the release of the film irked him but he was able to put it aside and get to work like a professional. I doubt I could have handled such pressure.

I'm not saying he resents the role. I'm just saying that he's more like Timothy Dalton in that he's grateful for Bond but not wild about the baggage that comes with it.
