I wasn't overjoyed at a generic grunge song as the theme last time...although it was somehow symbolic of the Craig era. A female singer would be the best bet I think.

Duffy Tipped To Sing New James Bond Theme
Duffy is the latest in a long-line of female singers who are reportedly most likely to sing the theme for the new James Bond movie, Quantum of Solace.
After various sources claimed Amy Winehouse, Beyonce and Alicia Keys were the most likely candidates, it now looks like the 'Mercy' hitmaker is in the running.
A source from Pinewood Studios (where the film was shot) has told The Independent that the Welsh star is being eyed for the job.
The paper also claims a Ladbrokes bookmaker received a "very serious" bet on Duffy to sing the track, so have now drastically cut their odds for her.

It'll most likely be a modest hit, as long as the Abba fans keep it up. It looks like TDK is gonna kill at the box office, the reviews and ticket sales are really going through the roof. I'll be seeing it tomorrow with my buddies (got tickets!) so I hope for a really good show.bjmdds wrote:In the end of a bad breakup right now with my long time girlfriend so I have been AWOL a bit. My sister in law and mother in law both recently saw Mamma Mia, and said how bad they thought it was. I've heard a few other friends who were looking forward to seeing it, say it was a let down.
The most notable problem they all seemed to agree on was the miscasting of Brosnan. I'd like to see it for myself to form my own opinion, but I don't think it'll be that big a hit.

So I saw TDK today and what a smashing film. Before it started we had trailers, and guess what was included.
Sad to say, nobody cared about it. In fact I heard some people say "this Bond sucks" and lots of "they're copying Bourne" and "Bond is dead" and such...
I'm just bullshitting you.
There was a good reaction out of that.

I have no interest in musicals myself and will steer clear but it knocked Hancock off the top spot in Britain and has got very positive reviews here.

I'm not into musical as well, but I only watch it because I'm a Brosnan fan. Great movie but not in the same league as The Matador or The Tailor of Panama.James wrote:I have no interest in musicals myself and will steer clear but it knocked Hancock off the top spot in Britain and has got very positive reviews here.

I wonder if Craig will do a musical one day. It's something to think about...but not for too long.

TDK broke records with the midnight showing alone making $18 million and on opening day $66 million. Wow. This is a far cry from how Batman Begins performed, which only made $48 million for the whole opening weekend.

I think many of the members in other places might as well go and post on a Daniel Craig forum.

As I say so often,to each his/her own *shrug*As is your hatred of Craig on here....
The opinions about Pierce at the place that can't be named get nasty,I don't disagree with that....most of the ire is aimed at Diarrhea Another Day(which is understandable)But this is a forum called Daniel Craig is not James Bond, whereas Commander Bond and MI6.co.uk are supposedly James Bond fansites. Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
I think his worst performances were in GOLDENEYE where he seemed stiff and uncomfortable, as if finally getting the role hasn't quite sunk in his mind yet. Then THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH because of the way he played inconsistently, one moment he's acting like a jolly Roger Moore, the other times he acts like a rabidly mad Timothy Dalton. Sure, the problems are in the script but if he's that good of an actor he could have at least made his performance blend the contrasts to make it believable. But what do you expect from a TV actor?
On the positive aspects, I think he might have done okay if he played a gritty Bond like Dalton and Craig, more believable than Moore, but obviously not as good given his acting range.
Anyway, all this talk about Brozza bores me. Let's talk about something new and interesting... like, THE DARK KNIGHT?
