I love how you now hate Daniel Craig (flip flopping much. ) But yet CR is listed in your favourite Bond movies.

I've only flip flopped once.I'm not like, say,Thrice, who flip flops every other day, gets yelled at for it, then gets rewarded by people like Retrokitty who thinks we're too hard on him and need to lighten up

I would not call Dr. No and FRWL the old, tried and tested, make-funofable formula, which was directed by Terence Young.

I think the formula you are referring to is crap like YOLT, MR, TSWLM, all the Brozza flicks, where there are plenty of gags, flying lazers, stupid gadgets, ridiculous, OTT villain lairs, etc. This is the old formula you are referring to, which yes, Thrice loves.

But these were not directed by Terence Young, and are nothing remotely like FRWL, which is NOT part of the funofable formula....

Katie and Nash both got a warning a few days ago for arguing/insulting each other and spoiling threads. But they are still at it. Charming.

So Katied did get a warning... And she boasted about me and Benny being the only ones who got them and were more likely to get banned than her...

Dr No did have a multi-million pound lair carved into a mountain of bird s**t. I'd call that OTT.

I do think Rosa Klebb, Dr No et al are iconic Bond figures which are often parodied.

Sorry Carl. I'll try to restrain myself.
Of course if people wanna argue with people and call them names and such, then most people aren't going to just sit and take it. I guess the best thing to do would be report the person, but I have reported several posts but without reply.
As Stocks has said I'm finished with K8'd. We don't see eye to eye. I suggest that we both cease to respond to the others post if it going to cause an argument or involves name calling.
If anyone has got any other suggestions I'm all ears.

Yes,everything up 'till, say You Only Live Twice is NOT over the top. They have all been over the top to some degreee since(yes, even CR)

Dr. No? Classic. FRWL?Classic.GF?Classic.Thunderball? classic. When they got to the hollowed out volcano lair stuff is where they lost the plot(understatement of the decade?)They refound it with CR.Sort of.

The fluffy cat worked until Donald Pleasence hammed it up.

I agree Stocks, the white cat worked when we didn't see Blofelds face. When little old Donald Pleasance was seen as Blofeld the effect was gone. This is Spectre number 1.
Really.
Worst casting ever I'd say. Pleasance is a fine actor, but not Blofeld. He looked more like someones uncle with a penchant for cats than the leader...and feared by all who know him of a worldwide network of terrorists.
I still wish we could've found out the cats name.
Blofeld "Fluffy...come here fluffy."
Goon "Umm number 1."
Blofeld "Have you seen fluffy?"
Goon "We last saw him under the spacecraft."
Blofeld "Noooooooooo"

It's a very grey area for me. It works to set up character. But apart from Telly Savalas (and even he's not perfect) Blofeld has been miscast everytime we've seen his face. The cat actually seemed more menacing than the actors playing him.

Apparently the actor who was first cast as Blofeld in YOLT didn't work because he was "too teddy bear like" so they replaced him mid-shooting. I'd like to see the footage of him, that's something EON is probably holding out for another DVD (or Blu-Ray) release.

It's amazing to me how often the "Bring Blofeld back" discussion comes up.Not here, though

What part of "It's been made fun of so much people won't take it seriously" do people not get, seriously? I don't know what's more irritating:The people lobbying to get Blofeld back in the movies, people wanting Moneypenny and Q back,or people *insisting* that Amy Crackhouse is the only person that can do the theme for QOS.
