Unfortunately, James' observation about Sony giving Babs bottomless money is true.I think we'll be back to the days of c*rap Bond films sooner than some think.Which is sad,but will make the more moronic segemts of Bond fandom happy :?
Agree 100% with K-T'd. What will Sony do to Eon's control if TBM does not live up to the $230 million it is costing them?

Babs Broccoli needs to be stopped.Unfortunately,cr*ap Bond films(Dud Another Day anyone?),don't matter to Sony.

Why? She's been working on the Bond films since the early 80's. She's worked with four different Bonds, produced the highest grossing films of the series, and continues to do a more than good job. Who do you replace someone with, that doesn't need replacing?
All of the problems that many of you have with BB are not factual. They're based on your opinions most of the time. The other thing is that the Bond films are made by more than BB and MGW. It's more like a committee as far as I'm aware, besides slagging off someone, that let's be honest isn't really going to spend alot of time worrying about a site like this is pointless.

Babs is drifting.Falling back on old formulas...the fact that the descriptions of QOS make it sound like Bourne light..that's not a good thing.

Blimey 'BJ' .............do you think DC should star in horror films?

AB
He would be an EXCELLENT Renfield in a true Dracula remake, ala Dwight Frye. I would endorse him eagerly in that role, another off beat character portrayal, but NOT Bond.

What makes it Bourne light? Are you expecting shaky camera and a Moby soundtrack in QOS?

Forster is "borrowing" from the Bourne movies.I wouldn't be surprised if there WAS some shaky cam in DC Got Fingered(Thanks, Former Bond Fan!I liked The Bourne Mimicry, but your suggestion is even better(no offense, BJMDDS )

What I find disturbing is the mentality of a LOT of Bond fans(sheeple)who think QOS will be terrible if Amy Crackhouse doesn't do the theme.

But KTd you think it will be terrible... so what is the difference between other Bond fans agreeing on something and you being a sheeple here?

I could care less whether it's Amy BTW... she's got a voice and I wouldn't be surprised if the Bond theme was a huge success if she did it. Having said that, there are a lot of other talents out there too... I'm tired of talking of Amy in general.

Song aside, you seem to think this next Bond movie will suck. Exactly why?

No?
Then how do you know this?
You're assuming again aren't you?
Yeah.

Address the Amy Crackhouse thing, please.Because The Place That Can't Be Named seems to be the only place where people are rabid(are they ever!) about her doing the theme.

Actually there was an article that stated he was using Alfred Hitchcock and Terence Young's Bond films as an inspiration. :)

Terence Young's direction is a contributing factor to what made James Bond popular in the first place.

Why are you so fixated with certain members k8'd?
Thrice doesn't even post here.
You like dishing it out, but seem not to like a dose of your own medicine.
As for QOS, I think looking at his previous films that Marc Forster is a worthy director to helm Bond 22. He may not have the action experience, but he does make very good films. I think QOS could shock a few people here and there. I'll bet it's as good as, if not better than CR. Even if Winehouse sings the theme to.

Marc Forster's inspiration lies on Terence Young who directed Dr. No, From Russia with Love and Thunderball, which are considered CLASSICS that not even Austin Powers could diminish. Besides, most of Austin Powers' parody mostly came from You Only Live Twice.
