Sean Connery no longer 'best Bond'
The world has a new favourite 007 - with Daniel Craig replacing Sean Connery's decades-long dominance.

2008-05-27 12:36:19 - James Bond fans from around the globe have voted the newcomer as the best ever Bond.
David Black, who is chairman of the International James Bond Fan Club which conducted the poll, said: "This has come as a massive surprise.
"For most people, Connery is the ultimate Bond. He was the first and for many years considered to be the best.
"But for Bond fans, Daniel Craig exhibits all the traits that Bond creator Ian Fleming originally wrote about."
Craig is currently filming the 22nd James Bond movie - The Quantum of Solace - which is expected in cinemas later this year.
Mr Black added: "Excitement about the new film is already growing. Daniel Craig and the producers have managed to re-invigorate the franchise with something new and exciting.
"I think that too has appealed to our members which in turn has helped Daniel move quickly into the top spot."
The poll took place on the club's website at www.007.info and involved members in more than 40 countries.
Press release writing and distribution by Urban Media Publishing Ltd.

Re: Craig best Bond
So the fan community (herd?) is divided along the lines of "Daniel Craig: great Bond or the greatest Bond?" Big surprise there.

What a load of crap! Connery is Bond, anyone who doubts that is either deceiving themselves or trying rig the out come. I don't frequent this particular fan fleece site I doubt that many others form the other forums do either.
Last thing David Black was in the news for was 007 Magazine was splitting from his international fan club.
The Biggest surprise will be his bank account suddenly going form in the red back to black
Nice picture of Peter Weller as Bond

I don't buy it. Has to be a hand picked sampling or something. Not many of the Craig fans here would say he is better than Connery and I think some of them are rabid
.
This just doesn't smell right to me.

Chief of Staff, 007's gone round the bend. Says someone's been trying to feed him a poisoned banana. Fellow's lost his nerve. Been in the hospital too long. Better call him home.

This is how I see it
Connery is God.
Dalton is Jesus.
Craig is a King.
Lazenby is a Knight.
Roger Moore is Satan
and Pierce Brosnan is Satan's minion.

Not even Somebody as delusional as you can bump Connery from his thrown on Mount Olympus

I say youare delusional not because of your uniquely 'you' hierarchy but because Jesus would never be Welsh

speaking of delusional what the hell happened at the end of Lost?

I don't know, but I'm jazzed up already for season five. But this should go to the other thread.

Re: Craig best Bond
I once borrowed a book from my local library called Did the Virgin Mary Live and Die in England? (one of the "fascinating historical questions to which the answer is no" series) in which some nutbar argued that Jesus and Pontius Pilate both studied under Welsh druids and that when Pilate asked "What is truth?", he was giving Jesus the secret druid password. I suppose there's a market for this sort of rubbish, otherwise the National Enquirer wouldn't sell any copies.Dr. No wrote: I say youare delusional not because of your uniquely 'you' hierarchy but because Jesus would never be Welsh![]()

Sounds like a good book! I read a book which said that the Rudolf Hess that flew to Scotland and was imprisioned after the war was a double. Another one for your series!Kristatos wrote:I once borrowed a book from my local library called Did the Virgin Mary Live and Die in England? I don't know what Tim considers himself I was just having some of funTimothy Peter Dalton (born March 21, 1946 [1]) is a Welsh born English actor
Dalton was born in Colwyn Bay, Wales to an English advertising executive father[3] and an American mother of mixed English and Italian-Irish ancestry[citation needed]. In the mid 1940s, his family moved to Wales, where his father was stationed during World War II.[citation needed] Before his fourth birthday, the family had moved to Belper, Derbyshire in England
