I enjoyed Indiana Jones. It's was made a while after the other three and Harrison Ford is gettting on a bit, so it was bound to be a bit different.
I've seen another Rocky, Rambo and Indiana Jones film. I did not think that would happen. I also have another Batman to look forward to. It's a shame they are not making another James Bond film soon.
QOS looks more like a normal Bond, wih lots of action, a villians lair etc. Not sure why Daniel Craig - brought in because "he was the only one with the skills to portray the demanding and different Bond role in CR" (I was told constantly)- is still in it.
Favorite Bond Movie: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission: Impossible, Kingsman: The Secret Service and The November Man or any upcoming actioners starring Pierce Brosnan (no, it's not James Bond which is good since it will help him expand his reputation as an actor especially in the action realm)
Favorite Movies: Star Wars Indiana Jones Star Trek The Dark Knight Trilogy Harry Potter Middle-Earth The Matrix Mission: Impossible The Mummy Jurassic Park Godzilla
I'm a little concerned about the villain's lair in QOS.REALLY hope this isn't some kinda lame thrownback to the Bond films of old.Though it must be said, the bad guy in QOS is not bald, and doesn't have a fluffy white cat

I hope to see it tomorrow and experience what you all have seen. It did $126 million so far in 4 days in the USA alone, but only $100 million for the weekend 3 day release. Not close to Spiderman numbers but darn good for a franchise dormant for 19 years. So far, just Nash dismissed it here as unworthy. I still cannot believe Iron Man's numbers, now at $252 million in the USA alone. I have not seen that yet either. Anyone see it yet?

No, but this villain and his henchman 'Elvis'(?) look pretty lame by comparison.

I cannot wait for Eon to make another 'non-Bourne Bond' film as well Carl.
'Beyonce' is now the front runner for the theme song for QOS:TBM, with John Barry helping her. I do not like her for a Bond song. Does anyone else? Also, the trailer will be released July 2, 2008, with the film, Hancock.

I don't know about Beyonce'. She's being exposed a little too much for me. I would like the next Bond film to have R&B theme. To me the best Bond themes were from the R&B artists. I would like to throw Alicia Keys and Mary J. Blige in the mix.
Eh,Beyonce isn't the worst choice. I kinda agree with Jermaine that a R&B theme would be nice, BUT Beyonce=overexposed.I would prefer someone who isn't constantly out there al the time( see also:Amy Winehouse. That's bound to be an unpopular opinion but.. *shrug*)
Saw Indy 4 over the weekend, pretty good film, but not great.
Better than most action films.........but not quite up to the level
of the previuous 3 Indy's.
However, with time this may change.
Pulled in large crowds here in the UK.
Usual amazing vehicle stunts, and Ford was still good in the role.
Last half hour of film though was a bit dissapointing..........and
not giving anything away.......the fridge scene was bleedin ridiculous.
Regards QOS...........its only a handful of weeks now to the trailer
being released.

Someone I talked to thought the bit with the fridge in KOTCS was ridiculous.I don't disagree. There were several scenes in that movie that took a bit of belief suspension.

Like the characters surviving 3 major waterfall drops in a row!!
I was glad considering the huge timeframe gap between the films, that Spielberg had made the film look like it had been made in the 80's rather than using the very high tech filming techniques of today.
I know its early days yet, but do our American friends here think that Indy 4 will be the biggest hit in North America this summer? Or are other films being really hyped up for killer business?

Exactly! I think the lead fridge was a comment on how a lot of things used to be manufactured with stuff that was bad for us(but we didn't know it at the time!)
I just saw The Crystal Skull. It was Journey to the Center of The Earth meets E.T. It was entertaining, but it did not have the same 'feel' as the first three, especially Raiders. I am surprised it took 19 years to come up with such a script. I thought the beginning was well done and brought you right back into Indy's world. The ending was a bit 'out there', but all in all, good fun. So far, $311 million worldwide. Iron Man is still going strong. The trailer for The Dark Knight was shown. It also looks full of action, and much better than the first 4 pre-Bale Batman films. I like the replacement of Katie Holmes as well. It was needed. Will it be top critter? Look for Iron Man to beat them all. I still have not seen it.
