Many have stated that from the start, Katied. Craig is not the look for a rookie, and I cannot really see any basis to the contrary. If the entire premise was a reboot, where can Eon possibly go, long term, with Craig as an 'evolving' 007, given what you have said?

Guess we'll find out in QOS.

The thing is a rookie doesn't have to be young.
James Bond needs to be a veteran to some degree. You can't have a twenty something year old playing Bond it wont work. He needs to be a man who has experienced life. A man who in his mid to late thirties as a minimum. Daniel Craig is of the correct age to play Bond imo.
Cubby Broccoli had pursued Timothy Dalton since the late 60's to play OO7, but it was Dalton who felt he was to young for the part at the time. When he landed the role in the 80's he was perfect for it. So to me, rookie Bond is not an issue at all, it's not something that hinders the films or the character.

Ian Fleming had Bond get his 00 status in his twenties!

But a modern Bond history is quite valid for the films - of course!

Timothy Dalton would have been great as a young Bond when he was first considered.
Bring back Bond!

That's a cheap swipe Katied. I've turned over a new leaf so far as this forum is concerned, be good if you could to.
One day you'll learn to just drop it.

I notice that the bloke playing the villain in QOS is alarmingly short. Good casting.

Did you really expect anything else 007, given Craig's physical presence?

Wake up guys...

We've had short villains before, why are you guys suddenly paying attention to their height now after 46 years? Oh yeah, to come up with a "oh they only cast a short actor for the villain because of Craig's height" BS? :P

Be fair guys, we've already had one villain taller than Craig anyway.

Agreed? Let's be gentleman like those two. :)

Not really. I think they liked the idea of Dench staying because she's so tiny even DC looks huge standing next to her.

We are conservatives on this forum after all (in the James Bond movie traditions that is).

I like the new forum - very hi tech space age. :007:

What is going on with the bad karma on the set of QOS:TBM? I hope Eon's employees have adequate health and accident insurance.
