Now back to how great MI6 is. :)

Ummm how about NO.

I can name more things to *dislike* about MI6.I'd like to start with the magazine, which is basically just an overpriced version of stuff that has already been on the website.Recycling much?

Other websites(Commander Bond comes right to mind,I can't really say much about the forums-I don't post there-)have better news and present it much better than MI6 does.I'm not going to apologize for saying that because it is the truth.

LOL only you and Benny would say stupid stuff like "MI6 for life". Lame doesn't even begin to cover it.In fact the vast majority of posters(though there are a few MI6ers that post here that aren't like that)would say the same thing if they were brave enough to register here and actually post something.Lord knows there are enough of them lurking

I find it hilarious that people over at MI6 give posters here grief for not going over there and debating them, and yet they won't do the same. It's a 2-way street,y'all.

Well they're not part of the anti-Craig crowd so what's the point for them joining here? At least that's how I see it. I merely joined to challenge the users and in the process I have met people equally as good as those MI6 on (Skywalker and Kristatos for example).

But whatever, keep bitching and moaning about MI6 all day, it isn't gonna accomplish anything other than gain BJ's support.

Probably because they became fans before Brosnan's tenure? From what I have seen most preferred the more edgy type of Bond films that Sean Connery and Timothy Dalton starred in, with Moore fans scattered here and there and few notable Lazenby worshipers. Brosnan is either completely disliked as Bond or some feel mixed about him. The only flatout Brosnan fans I saw there so far are Chandler Bong, who proclaims Brosnan as the best with pride and to be honest I find that refreshing, even though I disagree with him and no doubt many others. But no one has ever given him crap for being a Brosnan fan, well with the exception of Mr. E but we know how stubborn he could be when it comes to clashing opinions.
I'm still surprised that some fans of the Bond films are Balkanised into Connery/Dalton lovers or camp OTT Moore lovers. I must be the only person who likes all the Bond films and loves the fact that they are a little diverse.

Apart from Craig in CR of course.

Captain Nash wrote:I used to post at http://www.alternative007.co.uk/index.htm Another bash Craig and Eon site.

That site has about eighty articles, most of which are full of enthusiasm and praise for the (made by EON) James Bond series 1962-2002 (RIP). They just don't like Casino Royale and they don't think much of DC being the current Bond. At least they are opinionated, unlike MI6 which has a frontpage full of dry, factual info-articles without a single subjective view or joke. Surely the Cbn and MI6 forums are anti-Eon to a degree because they've spent the last few years slagging off Pierce Brosnan and previous films (how some of these people became Bond fans in the first place is beyond me sometimes). And as for the Alternative007 forum attracting a few posters who are critical of Daniel Craig's turn as James Bond...they're hardly likely to turn up at MI6 or Cbn are they? A picture of Daniel Craig holding a gun with a pair of underpants on his head will get three pages of people typing 'Badass'. Fascinating...
It makes me laugh when anti-Craigers are portrayed as anti-Eon. Many fans attacked Eon and Barbara, but now praise her.

I thought she did an OK job making Cubby style Bond films. That changed when she became obsessed with casting her unsuitable best friend as Bond.

Even during the respective reigns of Connery and Moore there were distinct differences in style. FYEO - MR or FRWL - GF.

Although I prefer some Bond films more than others, the ones I'm less fond of are still some of my favourite all time films.

Of course they do, EON has redeemed themselves with CR after three major disappointments that at their time were hyped up to be these films that would bring back the classic era of OTT Bond films like TSWLM.

Balkanized is the perfect way to describe it,actually. As is their being diverse. There are some aspects of past films(the shiloutettes during the credits for instance)which were a constant during the Bond films of the 60's, 70's and 80's.They look dated now(IMO)but back then they were considered cool.

I actually think they still look rather cool. IMO they have stood the test of time.

I love Robert Brownjohn's titles. Having a gypsy girl dancing with the credits projected to her body was brilliant. Same with scenes projected to the golden painted girl.

Favorite main titles:

DN
FRWL
GF
DAF
TSWLM
MR
OP
LTK
GE
CR

*waves to lurkers* I'm sure you're being told what's being said about MI6.Trust me,if you're one of those people who is always posting over there,I'm probably referring to you.

You know:The ones who have been there longer than everyone else and do nothing else but make n00bs feel unwelcome."But they *don't* make n00bs feel unwelcome" I hear a lot of people say.

Well, those people are MI6 apologists, long-time posters and moderators . Need I say anymore?I think not.

Whatever. You're preaching to the choir when you post links to MI6 threads. You are the ONLY person running to their defense.

I left because I got sick of all the b.s. that goes on there.I would strongly advise *smart* Bond fans to stay the h*ell away from there-unless they *like* cliques and being pushed around by posters who feel entitled to do so,that is.
