Amusing you is the least of what I do here, be sure of that. Have 'fun' moderating MI6, Nash, for that should keep you quite happy.

You mean you actually do something here?
Is it spam?
As for Mi6 bj, I'm very happy to be on the moderating team. Noticed you don't post anymore, but obviously visit as a guest from time to time. :P
Keep up the good...whatever it is you do.

Why are so many moderators needed for a forum that has basically cloned thought and only 2 current contrarians,Vine and Thrice?
katied

Post by katied »

I think they need mods to make sure there aren't multiple threads, and things of that sort.

The problem is is that the mods admit that they will never ban anyone. They always say "If there is a problem, send us a PM".Well, what do you want to bet that those PMs get ignored? Not naming any mods, but some of them are worse than others(Nash/Benny being an exception. He's doing a good job which is more than I can say for a vast majority of the mods there who hand out warnings for the*stupidest* things.Sorry, but it's true.)

Where did I ever support Thrice? He is just one of two at MI6 that stir up the 'worms' of debate and it can be quite strange following his reasoning, but having so many moderators for the limited two?

Thrice and Vine are not huge fans of Craig (Well in Thrice's case one day he is the next he's not), but there are other members who enjoy Craig's Bond who also cause threads to be locked. That's probably the reason along with the fact that there is a huge membership with posts being made 24 hours a day.

The phrase "quantity over quality" springs to mind.

Hopefully, this won't be thought of as defending Thrice, but he's actually been behaving himself lately(though there are still slip ups  )

Yet more idiocy over at MI6.I can't believe how imcompetent most of the mods are.

They CLAIM that things get taken care of,and there are people(usually people who have been there for a while-the board brown nosers-it figures)-claiming that they have PMd mods and gotten a quick response. But for all the examples of the mods having a "quick" response, there are just as many of them sitting back and NOT doing anything.

I don't include Benny because he does a good job.But the rest of them are completely useless.

A quick response at what Katied? And who are the incompetent Mods you refer to?
katied

Post by katied »

Dealing with problems. They claim that they take care of problems but I obviously think otherwise. The problem is that they refuse to ban troublemakers.

I don't buy that they check their PMs all the time(the biggest offenders as far as being rude/not caring/etc. are Q and James Page,IMO).Yeah right. If they did then it wouldn't be the way it is.

I just wanted to say that incase some of you are not aware (and that's okay) but last week my wife and I lost our twin daughters. We were due to have them on the 3rd of april, but they were stillborn on the 31st of march. This has been an understandably very hard time for us, I'd just like to say a thank-you to the members from Mi6 that post here and know who I am, but I'd also like to make it clear to the other members of this forum clear that I'm sorry for so many of my past posts, my world has been turned upside down. I hope and pray that none of you have to go through the pain and heartache that my wife and I have over the last week. I don't ask for forgivness for my past, but I would like to start afresh. We have had our differences, but you are all decent people in reality. The one thing I would like to share with you is the support I have gotten from my friends at Mi6.

I know that many of you don't like the site, but I'd like to show you what some/ many of the members are capable of.
Many of the members that some of you think are harsh and unfair have been nothing less than amazing for me. I'll not mention any names, but they include the moderators to. I don't expect this to change the world, but at the end of the day, there are far more important things to worry about.
Thanks for your time. Captain Nash/ benny.

I think I speak for everyone in expressing my deepest condolences for your loss. I guess nothing I can say can compensate you for this truly awful tragedy.

Bond issues aside, my thoughts are with you and your wife.

Benny,I thought that was a lovely thing that they did for you.

As far as some of the harsh people there..yes,I could name names(and the harsh ones tend to be be people who have been there for a while-not just mods- who seem to think that gives them some sort of entitlement :? ),but I won't.

Really sorry to hear about your loss. Kind of puts arguing about Bond films into perspective.

Yeah Kris it does. This last week alot of things have been put into perspective, and worrying about James Bond, and as much as I love the subject, arguing about it, just isn't a priority anymore. That's not to say my opinion has changed. Just the way I feel about life in general.
Thank-you for your understanding, and I look forward to discussing Bond again with you in the future.

Sorry for your loss Benny, I know how hard that can be. My parents went through a similar loss and have hardly spoken about it since then. So I hope you and your family remain in good health and have a good future ahead.

Sorry to hear this bad news, mate. Try to keep your chins up (if you can).

Arguing and debating about actors seems pointless when something like this happens. As Kris said, puts things in perspective.

What life all comes down to in reality, is friends and family. One can only hope time will help heal you and your wife and you can both move forward in your life's journey together. The internet can be a vast place;however, in the 'niche' we have all discovered, we really are close knit as an 'internet family' and hope only good things come to us all. Relax, reflect, and know people do care.
