Hopefully there will be some leaks soon. What usually happens is they know who they want right from the start but have to do their due diligence.

Btw, this forum keeps logging me out.

We've had one already (forgot the guy's name, sorry). But they auditioned 8 Bonds for Casino Royale before settling for the nightclub bouncer, so it could be a while before we get an announcement.

I'm still working my way through the new First Light game but it's striking just how much the developers emphasize Bond as being, first and foremost, a spy. In fact, you can only draw your weapon and kill in self-defense (which prompts the screen to designate you've entered "Licence to Kill" mode)!

After years of reading nonsense about an actor like Craig being necessary because Bond is a "cold-blooded assassin", it's refreshing to see a product that understands 007 is not Jason Bourne.

No not really. It fresh content and new character development.
But it feels like the streaming show .

An interesting take from the NY POST: https://nypost.com/2026/05/30/entertain ... ames-bond/ Jacob Elordi would be the totally wrong choice to play James Bond

The InSneider scooper reports that Callum Turner has dropped out of two films and also moved the date of his wedding way forward to last weekend. Sneider suggests this is because Turner has the Bond gig.

Why would he need to move his wedding to Dua Lipa forward if filming doesn't begin until next year, though? And it could just as easily be because of her touring schedule or whatever. It doesn't really prove much.

Not saying it’s because he(may or may not) be Bond.Read that. Yes, it could be Dua’s schedule.

Some of the names being thrown around are so underwhelming and weird looking. It really shouldn't be that difficult to find a competent young actor who looks like James Bond.

Well, so far, only Tom Francis is definitely confirmed as having auditioned. Everyone else is just a rumour.

Exactly right MP! If this is it, then this is it for me with the franchise! I would not spend a penny paying to see BIG EARS as Bond! Image

Agreed. I still prefer him to Butthead, just, but I hope they can find someone better.
