I'm not defending her dress, I'm just saying that it's not something the people choosing the singer for the next Bond theme are likely to care about.

Oh,I agree.Sticking with my “needs nore clothes” but have to disagree with BJ-they don’t care how people dress-or much of anything else for that matter.

Just look at the last few Bond themes. Maybe now Babzy doesn’t have a stranglehold on the franchise there will (maybe?) be a effort to think outside of the box.

Chappell is outside of her mind wearing a dress like that. I never said they would not use her and the way things are going even with Amazon this franchise could be cooked. No film since 2021, which was supposed to be released in 2018 or so but was delayed, meaning no produced film for 10 years, with 2028 being the forecast release year? Pretty soon it will be Bond, James who???????

Honestly,I would hate for No Time To Die to be the swansong for the franchise. But it’s not looking hopeful. The problem is, it needs to be so much better than No Time To Die.

They've hired a director and the first draft of the script has been delivered. I think once Dune 3 is in cinemas, things will start moving a lot more quickly. Though I had hoped we'd get the announcement of the new Bond before then, but it's starting to look unlikely.

But be honest:after the fail that was No Time To Die, is is going to be any good?

What is going to make it is:

The cast(Bond, to be more specific)

A good director

A good story(still waiting to hear some specifics on that.)

I din’t think that having a writer means much.I’m sure they’re trying to do something that hasn’t been done before,Bond-wise and will still keep the franchise interesting and relevant.

That’s why I love varying actor’s interpretations of the same role-take Hannibal Lecter-from Loga..I mean Brian Cox’s, to Anthony Hopkins’ to Mads Mikkelsen’s.

To each her/his own..and elsewhere people have their favorite(and not so favorite) Bond films and actors.

Don't know. I have my reservations, particularly about the potential mismatch of writer and director, but I can't form an opinion until I've seen the film.

Movieweb.com: With Daniel Cr-egg’s successor yet to be announced, the next Bond movie won't come out until 2028 at the earliest. This will break the previous longest gap between two James Bond movies. The early ‘90s Bond-less stretch is currently the longest, as it took six years and four months for GoldenEye to come out after License to Kill......Most importantly, the James Bond franchise is a huge moneymaker. It’s even more baffling why the Broccolis agreed to sell to Amazon. The grandkids must not be too happy. https://movieweb.com/james-bond-26-franchise-gap/

Now it's gone back up to 124 messages awaiting moderation. If Messrs Knight and Villeneuve are reading this, please can you have Bond blow up a bot farm in Russia? Maybe not as the main plot, but possibly in the pre-credits or something?

According to a new “movie insider” tip from The Sun, the next James Bond movie won’t hit theaters “until 2028.” The unnamed tipster also noted: “Denis [Villeneuve] wanted a long break after Dune 3 and has some broad ideas on the [Bond 26] script. Steven [Knight] will get on with drafts before they map out the final version. That’ll take at least the whole summer…Realistically, if they can make January 2027 work for pre-production, then that will be a success.” In some ways, this news isn’t shocking. Although this is an unverified source from tabloid reporting, this timeline checks out with what most experts have known for a while........take a long break Denis. It will be 10 years since the last film was actually made, not released, but made!

Meanwhile, Harris Dickinson is now one of bookies' favourites to become the new Bond. The actor, 28, who will play John Lennon in The Beatles: A Four-Film Cinematic Event in 2028, has been named as one of the frontrunner. Having been as big as 9/1 last week, Harris is now just 8/5 to be the new 007, with Callum Turner continuing to lead the way at 4/5. Every other name is now 5/1 or more. Image Why not just make a kiddy film already with all of these young punks not even close to what Bond should look like and this 'KIDS' Bond idea is a joke to begin with! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3edtd9AkWg

Given the glacial pace of production, casting a younger actor as Bond makes a lot of sense. You don't want someone who will be older than Roger in AVTAK by the time his second film comes out. But it does render bookies odds stories even more meaningless if they're not likely to be casting anyone for another year.
