I can't say I've never seen him in anything, because IMDb says he appeared in three episodes of the comedy-thriller series The Outlaws, filmed and set in my home city of Bristol. It appears to have been a small role, though (he's merely listed as "Enforcer"), so I don't remember him.

Some Marvel fans are worried that The Fantastic Four: First Steps is a flop after reports that its box office numbers have dropped substantially since its debut. At first, its performance during its opening weekend were promising as it earned about $216 million at the global box office, but the movie’s numbers declined by about 66% in its second weekend. This drop continued through its third weekend in mid-August with a decline of 60%. So while the film’s current worldwide sales looks impressive at $435 million, there are concerns that it won’t turn out to be the commercial success that Disney and Marvel were expected it to be.

Pierce is part of an all-star cast in the Netflix adaptation of the best-selling mystery novel The Thursday Murder Club, dropping, appropriately enough, next Thursday. In an interview with Radio Times magazine, he is asked about returning to Bond and replies "I don't think anyone wants to see a craggy, 72-year-old Bond, but if Villeneuve had something up his sleeve, I would look at it in a heartbeat".

Steven Knight, the NEW script writer for a Bond film: Image Who knows were his mind goes with it........'He has the highest honor from the Royal Television Society’s Midlands Centre – the Baird Medal – and in 2023, the Royal Television Society awarded Knight a Fellowship for his contribution to the U.K. television industry.'.........surprised Broccoli never considered him to write for her Bond films.

I just think it's a bit of self-deprecating humour.
