Yeah, his "queerest" film was Zardoz with the "Borat onesie" and he absolutely oozed machismo in that film. So much so the ethereal overlord women couldn't stop throwing themselves at him!

Same here and the nonsensical "problems" don't help me to shake that assumption.

Dan was stressed by the "commitment" of the role? Yeah a film every 5 years seems rough! Now he's blaming his drinking on the role?! He was constantly quoted as saying how much he hated martinis so it wasn't a method actor's thing, he was always going on about how much he enjoyed his beery shenanigans with his mates in gay bars (for those who may have forgot he literally said this). For this to come out now, 3 (actually 5) years after his departure from the role makes me wonder if they aren't laying down the foundation for a split in the future?
