If I was dating the vegetable, and I turned the lights down low, and she looked into my blue eyes, and I said to her, "Boar-, I mean Barbara, can you tell me who your choice is for Bond?".......and if she whispered into my ear, "honey, it will be _ _ _ _", what is to stop me from calling DB or MP or Kristatos and have them place HUGE bets? This is just like stock market insider information and it is illegal here. So, how can these betting exchanges accept money on such a ridiculous wager when the person who makes the decision can tell her friends what to bet on?

Hollywood Reporter 2 months ago piece: According to those closest to Broccoli, she knows exactly what she is doing:“She brought the character and the franchise into the modern era without compromising what’s entertaining about a Bond movie and very discreetly did away with some of the less inclusive things that were OK back in the ’70s,” says Universal chair Donna Langley, a Broccoli friend who worked with the producer on the latest Bond entry, this year’s No Time to Die. (Universal distributed the film internationally.) “She also [was behind] creating really fantastic female characters. That’s been done with a meticulous eye toward a more balanced franchise, while the brilliant casting of Daniel Craig kept all of the CHARM and ELEGANCE and FUN of the character.” :hair: -------talk about being divorced from reality :!: https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movie ... 235058174/

All this is true, but at the pace Babbzy produces movies, I think we're at least 18 months away from a decision being made on who the next Bond is. So she couldn't give that information away if she wanted to.

I'm a bit confused, what great female characters exactly?
If anything, Bond girls of Craig's era are such a non-event.

Thank you Jason, you embarrass me with your high praise! To be clear, I'm nobody's leader, fearless or otherwise, I'm just a guy who couldn't sit by and watch while his favorite character got dismantled to thunderous applause from those who should know better.

They must be either the former child sex slave Craig helps himself to in SF or the widow he forces himself on before abandoning in SP.

Poor Severine, shot before she could get her £12 million settlement from the Queen.

Is there a more awkward love scene than the one between Craig and Bellucci? I have yet to see one.
Craig managed to make kissing a woman as beautiful as Monica look like a chore. That's not something any other Bond actor would have managed IMO

Now this is a 2021 spy movie that people should see. Don't know why it only has a 6.5 score on imdb I would personally give it a 7.5 at least. The twist was obvious from the start but oh well.

And this is definitely a vibe as well :007:

So, we watched as Babz and DC dismantled Bond. It would seem Ernest Stravos Bezos and his minions at Amazon will be there to help speed up the process of utter destruction. Lord of the Rings devotees are up in arms regarding what they are doing to Tolkien (see below).

If there's anything left of Bond (which I don't think there is) Amazon will be there to crush it. DB, are you ready for the name change of website; "Jamie Bell is not James Bond"?!

The original Casino Royale was deemed the worst Bond movie ever, with 11 more as well. Do you agree with this list? Roger Moore fans will be upset as he was in 5 of them: https://bestlifeonline.com/worst-james- ... vies-news/

Any list that doesn't have QOS and SPECTRE at the very bottom is not accurate in my opinion. :jack:

Also, what's up with this presumption Craig's everyone's favorite (besides Connery)?

Yes, Roger was really colourless and boring as Bond.

Broccoli has had years to plan for the next film. She has yet to name a replacement. If she does not even know the premise of the next film at this point in time and will wing it as she goes along, there might only be 1 Bond film actually released since 2015, given that at the earliest the next film could be in 2025 at this rate. Bezos must either turn the screws to her or buy her out as only 1 film in 10 years won't cut it.

I mean, doesn't she still use that "bride at the altar" analogy? At this rate she'll be mourning Craig's departure until 2025 at least. She broke the cardinal rule of no actor is bigger than Bond himself.

She'll probably still be re-releasing NTTD theatrically until then. Apparently, it's getting another re-release, even though the previous one barely made any money.

Gee, great. As if we haven't suffered enough :jack:
Did the movie lose money or not in the end?
