After solo a Star Wars story nobody will green light it. Bond has a lot of untapped potential for side stories but babs and mgw get caught up on making a series on jinx or the new moneypenny

A new working title for the upcoming 25th James Bond film has seemingly been revealed. Over the weekend, a listing on the job website Mandy.com – which specialises in the creative industry – appeared to reveal the new title as "Eclipse." https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/ ... clnk&gl=us#

Meanwhile, did anyone see Alan Partridge last night, with the so-called Daniel Craig "lookalike" (who looked about as much like Daniel Craig as I do)?

No mention of killing Bond, but it rather sounds like Barbie and Ken want it both ways: the prestige of having an auteur director without the creative freedom that entails.
I think you're right Kris, they really need to figure out what they want. Paying for a prestige director means getting a film in that director's style, otherwise why pay the money. If you're making a Steven Spielberg, Ron Howard or in this case a Danny Boyle film people are expecting that director's style if not why bother? Those who are fans of the director will be disappointed and those who aren't won't give a toss either way! If Babz want's to continue playing the Iron Lady of EON then just stick with competent journeymen such as your Martin Campbells and John Glenns. It'd be cheaper that way too!
I doubt that's possible given they can't be bothered to spit out more than one film every half decade!Kristatos wrote:Perhaps the solution is a franchise-within-a-franchise where directors could make lower-budget movies that stand apart from the main series, in the way that Logan and Deadpool stand somewhat apart from the main X-Men franchise.
If this bears out to be true, what a clever title! Why not call it Ellipsis so they can wink, nod and nudge at a reference to the airport access code in Casino Royale! For all it's faults at least Shatterhand has roots in Fleming.bjmdds wrote:A new working title for the upcoming 25th James Bond film has seemingly been revealed. It opens. Just wait a few seconds and it clicks over to the web page. With only ONE film made since 2012, it is time Broccoli vacates her role as head of BondKristatos wrote:Looks like you have to create an account in order to view that site.bjmdds wrote:A new working title for the upcoming 25th James Bond film has seemingly been revealed. Danny could write himself using that tool. He could get an extra $30 million.carl stromberg wrote:I've sent this to Eon.Omega wrote:at least Judi drench would lie and say two MIB delivered her a copy weeks ago, like she did for I want to say her last bonddirtybenny wrote:Kristatos wrote:Ralph Feinnes still hasn't received a script yet: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/films/2019/ ... -007-film/

I very much doubt EON pays writers that much. He might get a couple of discount coupons for Aldi, though.Capt. Sir Dominic Flandry wrote: Danny could write himself using that tool. He could get an extra $30 million.

Yeah, I doubt Pervis and Wade combined make that much, though however much they make it should be considered theft!
Of course, I mean it's not like they aren't just a few months away from shooting, it's not like they had 3 years to do it!bjmdds wrote:Whishaw told the Sunday Times: “I think they’re probably trying to figure out what to do with the storyline."

For a moment there I thought you meant Aldo and thought how discount coupons for Aldo would actually be a great way of paying me.Kristatos wrote:I very much doubt EON pays writers that much. I wonder what happened to FBF and Shaken Not Stirred. Gone 4-ever?
Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Shaken was always an on-and-off contributor, as I recall. FBF is probably in a padded cell somewhere, screaming about how the rest of us have all personally failed Pierce Brosnan.bjmdds wrote:I wonder what happened to FBF and Shaken Not Stirred. Gone 4-ever?
Meanwhile, Shatterhand or Eclipse or whatever the f**k it's called this week has begun filming in Norway: https://uk.movies.yahoo.com/bond-25-sta ... ccounter=1
Probably second unit stuff at the moment, while they wait for the script to arrive.

Not to mention screaming: "BOND CAN BE ANYTHING OR ANYONE NOW! (insert picture of cartoon robot/random professional wrestler)" and/or "BOND IS NOT FOR "US" ANYMORE WE SHOULD SUPPORT (insert random film series here)"
It's about time they've been working on this scene for what feels like years!Kristatos wrote:Meanwhile, Shatterhand or Eclipse or whatever the f**k it's called this week has begun filming in Norway: https://uk.movies.yahoo.com/bond-25-sta ... ccounter=1

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
James Bond producers are reportedly looking for a Scottish actor to replace Daniel Craig as 007 after Bond 25. According to a report, Eon Productions already have a good idea of what they want to do as regards casting 007. Yahoo! says that Bond producers are looking for a Scottish actor to take over for the English Craig, marking a return to the origins of the character, who in Fleming's novels was revealed to have a Scottish father and Swiss mother. As to the question of which specific Scottish actors might be in line to play Bond, a recent column in the Daily Mail indicated that Bond producers have already been in touch with Outlander actor Sam Heughan about a possible audition. Another of the favorites to take on the role after Craig, Bodyguard star Richard Madden, also happens to be Scottish.
