When you were first greeted 'Bond... James Bond'.
When was the first time you ever saw a Bond movie and which film was it that made you a fan of the series?
Tomorrow Never Dies was my first Bond film that I ever got to watch(besides the unofficial Sean Connery 1983 film, which I found decent). I was 11 years old and watched it on PPV. About the time the garage scene was done with, I pretty much lost interest in watching the rest of the film. I just found it extremely boring. Not a very good way of getting a first impression from a series like this.
Later I saw The World is Not Enough and thought it was decent, but I never got interested at that point in watching the rest of the Bond films. Later on I was playing the game GoldenEye 64 and was hooked. I decided to give Mr. Bond another shot with GoldenEye. That's the Bond film that turned me into a Bond fan.
I then went to onto the Connery films and he instantly became my favorite Bond along with Dalton in his films. I found Moore lighthearted then and I still do now. I found Lazenby to be decent but nothing special.
Now, if you can check on the films I mentioned before this sentence, then you'd know which Bond film I got to see in theaters for the first time.

Good question! It might seem weird but I was 2 and I saw "Live and Let Die" at the movie theater.Yes, I did.
My parents thought nothing of taking my brothers and I to movies when we were kids(it's a bit of a no no now but we were well behaved!)Some of my best memories of childhood have to do with movies.

Good question Stocks.
I think my earliest memory of Bond was probably Jaws in Monnraker. There was always a Bond film shown on ITV at Christmas or on Bank Holidays and as a family we used to watch them together. Moore's Bond got me hooked and to this day is my personal favourite.

The first Bond film I saw was You Only Live Twice on TV. I was aware of the series before that, as all the kids in my school were Bond fanatics, but my parents wouldn't let me watch them for some reason. First Bond fim I saw in the cinema was Moonraker, on my 12th birthday. I enjoyed it at the time, because of the slapstick comedy elements, but nowadays it's my least favourite Bond film, for precisely the same reason. Funny how tastes change.

YOLT in the theatres. Bond mania was intense in the 1960s and there were no huge multiplex theatres. If there were, who know what the box office return would have been. There was a James Bond action doll that shot off a cap gun when you lowered his right arm. It was popular against the GI Joe doll craze also. Theatres were packed, with lines around the street. My parents like the films and they took me and the rest is history. When Lazenby took over, it was a major event as well in 1969 and the majority wanted Connery back, which they got, in 1971.

The first Bond film I saw was OCTOPUSSY and the same year we go NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN too. I've seen all the Bonds on the big screen after that. Apart from a few weaker entries I'd say the series is still going strong. The new film seems to have caused a rift with some, but I'm easily pleased. So long as it's a JAMES BOND film I can pretty much take it as it comes.
Bond fan.

The first time I saw a Bond film was after Super Bowl 17 when the Redskins defeated the Dolphins. I was six-years-old at the time and became a Redskins and Bond fan the same night. After the game, Goldfinger came on ABC and I began to watch. I was hooked with I saw Jill Masterson laying on the bed, butt-naked in gold paint. My father then told me that there were more than the just one Bond film out there. So when they came on TV I would watch them. What my father didn't tell me was that there were more than one guy playing Bond. I was confused as a kid because I would see Connery in one film and Moore in another. I use to say that Moore was a fake Bond. I didn't know any better. When The Living Daylights came out, I saw it on the first day of opening and that has been a tradition ever since. Every job that I have worked...I inform them during the hiring process that I need off on the day when a new Bond film comes out.

You'd be surprised.I have really good recall of a lot of things, and I do actually remember watching LALD(and liking it!)I'am not being funny 'Katied', but howcome you have memories at the age of 2..............i mean my brain wasn't fully developed until i was 29!!

ABC TV here in the States was in the habit of showing Bond films(albeit edited ones)when I was a kid so I watched a lot of those(I haven't seen a Bond film on ABC for a LONG time-the Spike network has started showing Bond films-usually Dud Another Day-but last year at Christmas they had a Bondathon.Sweet.
As for allowing kids in the movie theater,I don't think the management seemed to care-nowadays if you're young looking and try to get into an R rated movie you'll get carded.
And I had hippie parents whose attitude was lazzeiz faire. So we saw a lot of movies that most kids didn't get to see(though we were NOT allowed to see "Jaws" until we were well into our teens-we lived near the beach and our parents were afraid it would freak us out

The temptation is very strong.
