Enjoying your stay here? Calm down yet? There are no flame wars here. The overall tone is quite serene. The problem is that you are entrenched in a forum site at MI6 which uses negativity towards contrary opinions as a tool. I have said this many times Katied, that these forums should be for one purpose only, that being fun entertainment. Spamming is a word used often at MI6 yet your side does the most, not my side. Relax, and enjoy the different opinions out there. You should not take to heart anyone else's views but your own, but you should happily embrace varying thought.

As I've told you several times,I have no problem with free speech, but when your "free speech" consists of spamming boards with your crap then no,I don't agree. You ASSUME that I don't accept any sort of dissenting view, but that could not be further from the truth.

As it is,I'm mostly posting in the general discussion threads. It's keeping my blood pressure from going through the roof.

And to be honest, Daniel Craig isn't even my favorite actor anymore(I still like him, don't get me wrong) a close second to James McAvoy,of all people.

There are members on MI6 who do wish to debate the issue, but the stigma attached to discussing the topic of Craig as Bond is now so worn from flame wars that decent members avoid the topic. Idiots like YOLT wind up Pro-Craigers and make criticising CR and the selection of Craig difficult. This forum does allow for contrary views and has accepted Pro-Craig members and given them the opportunity to debate these issues without being victimised.

I now consider Sweeney, Stock, Nash and Brain to be decent guys (although misguided) and I'm sure they enjoy their time here too.
Thanks Skywalker, and very true in what you wrote.
Eh........Sweeney!!! You agree that your misguided?

Apart from that .........thanks Skywalker. :)

I'll say one thing for the forums at MI6......at least they are amusing at times, unlike CBn where i found it very dull there.

The forum here is slowly building up, and obviously with more members
joining will bring more views and opinions on the subject of Bond.

Katied, I wrote 2 posts, not all 45. Spamming was not done by me and dissenting opinion is NOT 'crap', if it happens to conflict with your views. If people are not interested in any discussion, as with a television, they can simply change the channel. Why get all bothered by something you do not agree with? Just do not respond. Isn't that better than using foul language to express an angry resentment?

The problem was that I(and other people at MI6)actually don't want to post there because of all the crap that has been going on(not just the stuff that you posted).

The stuff with Thrice predates when I was there, and I get the sense(even though I've been there less than a year)that if he were to be banned it would be a good thing. He's been close a few times recently.

Now that he's flip flopped yet again..though I suspect that it's just an attempt to make people like him-things may calm down..until he flip flops back to hating Daniel Craig again and turns on the Jekyll and Hyde act.

I actually want to have a conversation about Bond 22 not be interrupted by other people's agendas as far as Bond is concerned. Is that too much to ask?I think not.

There's a HUGE difference between that and shouting people down because they're discussing Bond 22 and you HAPPEN not to like Daniel Craig and want to throw your opinions in.Honestly,I have no problem with people expressing their opinions, but as several people have said, if you post threads that are obvious flame bait, you should expect a reaction.

Believe it or not(and you're skeptical and that's OK)I am not NEARLY the Craig fan girl that you think I am. I think you like throwing around the term "fan girl" a little too much.

I never heard of the phrase "fan girl" before, and do not shout down anyone.Forums have different topics to choose from so why not indulge in those you get enjoyment from only? Are you confusing me with someone else? I have not even posted on MI6 for a long time until just recently.

Yes, and we all saw what happened when you posted at MI6

Your perception of MI6 as quashing any sort of opposing views is a bit off. You might want to take off those blinders you've been wearing :P

Does that make me a defender of theirs?I guess it does.I still post there, but not as much.

The term 'quashing' was used by you, not by me. I simply returned that comment in response to your statements Katied. Read exactly what I wrote after you read what the numerous posts stated. Then you will see where I was coming from. Meanwhile, you have been posting here with no grief or ridicule, correct? Why can't others do that same thing on MI6 freely? Why do you feel you have to defend MI6 anyway?

Like I said,I don't think it's right that a bunch of people come in and start posting on every Bond 22 thread(and a few non B22 threads) about how much they hate Daniel Craig.

That gets realy old and it's called FLAME BAIT *and* it doesn't belong on MI6. It's tiresome. And it's why so many people don't feel comfortable posting there anymore.

One person's freedom of speech is another person's feeling threatened.I don't expect you to understand that(that's not me being rude,it's the truth!)

Now that we have a female pro-Craig member...

Katied, what is it that you find in Daniel Craig that makes him sexy? This oughtta be an interesting discussion for DCINB.

My misses thinks the same. She doesn't define him as handsome, but thinks he has something about him. She thinks Brosnan is more classically handsome, but fancies Craig more. Wierd, I know.

What is it? Animal magnetism? X factor? Sex appeal?

I think it's a similar phenomenon to when women write to murderers on death row. :P
