Jason O’Rourke, of Windebrowe Avenue, Keswick, wants permission from the Lake District National Park Authority to return part of the building at Southey Works to its former use as a climbing wall and to create a soft play centre. A cafe is also planned.
The building was previously a climbing wall until it became a museum in 2009. It closed earlier this year.
