Pierce's new TV show The Son
Pierce's new TV show The Son
Pierce tweeted a link to a trailer for his new AMC show this morning. Sadly it was geocoded, so I wasn't allowed to watch it, but US readers should be able to see it:

Yeah I'm bitter. But thankfully (generally speaking), The Son will make a good use of Pierce's true grit.Omega wrote:are you bitter about that?FormerBondFan wrote:No NM2 then?Omega wrote:I thought November man was good.

Cinema is dead, for everything except huge, CGI-filled blockbusters. TV is where the action is, creatively speaking.

Just wait until they do a remake of the iconic film The Sting, and watch that bomb too. I can just imagine the ethnic and gender diversity some moronic director would cast to remake it, which would be a HUGE mistake to even try.
Re: Pierce's new TV show The Son
Sorry, how did we get from Pierce's new TV show to you getting angry about an imaginary remake of The Sting?

Not too good as a Western twang FBF. Sounds a bit British.

You don't think critics will slam his Southern accent the way they slammed his singing in Mamma Mia, would they?bjmdds wrote:Not too good as a Western twang FBF. Sounds a bit British.

Re: Pierce's new TV show The Son
I doubt it but I do not understand the choices he has been making in his post-Bond career. You would agree he does not pull of an American Western drawl that well FBF?

Most look great on paper. Executive wise is another story.bjmdds wrote:I doubt it but I do not understand the choices he has been making in his post-Bond career.
I am skeptical, but we should give him some backbone. You would agree he does not pull of an American Western drawl that well FBF?

I gave this series a try. Not my cup of tea. Brosnan is terrific in it, though.
