I believe BJMDDS and others mentioned it earlier in this thread! You can review it here or in the Movies section if you want to.

In regards to Spider-Man, what was the point of the reboot? It was completely unnecessary in my opinion. They should have just simply carried on and made Spider-Man 4 with Tobey Maguire, or someone else if he really wasn't interested. I hope Hollywood gets over this rebooting craze soon.

Man the weekend is another weak one. The BO news sites are all like Hollywood is relieved but look at the numbers its still anorexic.

We did talk about cold light of day all last week. It more or less a direct to video movie put out to theaters when good rips are already online.

It doesn't even compare to Craig crashing one of the biggest movies last summer, Harrison Ford wouldn't save it, Bruce Willis couldn't save this and who feels sorry for a Wall Street anything today, its like the movie was intended for 2005. Cheap movie poorly done by first time director, no advertising and no theater count. Still not as bad as Invasion which had real money spent to make and promote it, also in over 1200 more theaters.

The only thing I can think of is they were afraid taking the movie down to basics pre a lot of the other elements like Venom would confuse the audience more than a reboot. They should have made a story with a new spider and not worried about how it ties in the the previous movie like Bond used to do.

I think the sequel might do better but everyone knew it was a origin story we already saw. Every movie can not be Batman Begins eventually the story has to move on. Batman did nobody has successfully copied this yet, its all about the drama about the origin of a story and not thinking to movie on to the real story of how these characters live their lives.

X-men first class 2 might be the first to successfully break free of the I'm a reboot like Batman curse. Maybe Wolverine 2 which has a lot of room to improve, come on he can't remember cause he was shot in the head, not what the comic books or video game had and why is Sabertooth his secret brother? Thats lame.

May not be a proper reboot if Robin is the Bat.

I wasn't referring to JGL. I'm talking about a total reboot that supposed to tie in with Justice League movie, which I'm interested at this point.

In my opinion, a reboot should only be necessary if a series is in big trouble. In the case of James Bond, there is really no statistical evidence that indicates that a reboot was necessary after Die Another Day. I think the majority of criticisms were towards the outlandish nature and overall quality of the film. I personally think the real problem was Barbara and Michael didn't know what to do with the classic Bond formula and decided to reboot and reinvent the series. In fact, after Roger Moore left the role, Michael Wilson and Richard Maibaum were considering a story about Bond's beginning, but Albert Broccoli decided to move forward with a contemporary Bond for The Living Daylights. Albert Broccoli felt that audiences didn't want to see a Bond that was just learning his job.

After Moonraker, the producers didn't just say "Well, Bond just went to space, so I guess there's not much other exciting things we can do with him anymore." No, instead, they simply carried on and made For Your Eyes Only, there was no rebooting or reinventing. The same thing should have been done after Die Another Day. But instead, they abandon a beloved formula, and upset many fans. And for what? Just to see Bond's beginning, which I'm sure not many people were losing sleep over. Bond's beginning wasn't even done all that great, in my opinion. Other super hero movies do it far better and faster. Casino Royale was around two and a half hours, and it didn't accomplish very much. On top of that, they make an awful sequel to it, which accomplishes even less.

And now lo and behold, I constantly hear people complaining they want classic Bond back, or the ones that get hyped over simple classic Bond elements returning in Skyfall. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, the classic Bond formula wasn't the problem, the producers just couldn't do the math.

Classic formula or not, I hope Bond 23 be will no different from QOS. With DC's third corrupted Bond being a failure, EON will realize that they couldn't do the math like you said.

Correct. The “Rolling in the Deep” singer is expected to give birth before the end of 2012. This is her first child with boyfriend Simon Konecki.
An album is not the only project Adele is working on. She recently confirmed she’s singing the theme for the upcoming James Bond film. The track, which she apparently recorded at Abbey Road Studios, is called “Skyfall.” http://bestmoviesevernews.com/skyfall-official-trailer/ FBF, calm down 'cause it don't mean a thing'. Apparently, the song she will perform will also be titled "Skyfall" a track with "an actual song with a melody and a hook", and it will be the first single released by Adele since her hugely successful latest album 21.

2016 Obama's America: $30,080,000 total so far. It's now the second best political box office passing Al Gore's bore and all other Moore films except one. Cavill's The Cold Light Of Day is a worse bomb than Cr-egg's Dream House, which is hard to believe. A disgrace at the box office indeed.
