Re: Wooden and entirely charmless
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/culturecritics/charlesspencer/4961669/Dirty-Dancing-and-Spring-Awakening-in-the-West-End.html I notice that the latest James Bond movie, Quantum of Solace, is released on DVD later this month. Don’t even think about buying it if you missed it in the cinema. My son...

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Film 2009 with Jonathan Ross was like a Quantum of Solace advert this week for some reason. Sounds like he's turning into his predecessor. Barry Norman, towards the end of his time on Film YYYY, became notorious for letting his personal friendships with cast and crew members cloud his judgement on ...

Re: Worst moment in Quantum of Solace?
What was the worst moment in Quantum of Solace ? Choose some moments other than the obvious abysmal parachute jump. My worst moment is the beginning, the middle, the end and everything else in between lol The action sequences, the acting, the editing bloody -hell!!!! There is nothing redema...

I just watched QoS again on DVD, and I was bored with it after 5 minutes. Utter crap!!!!  How can EON go from making the best Bond movie ever in CR, to one of the crappest. The two films are poles apart, and QoS deserves every bit of slating it gets!!! If Bond 23 is anything like QoS, ...

Re: Defiance
He is a lazy actor. Are you basing this on that one comment from Craig? From his history and his history of comments pissing on the rudimentary work most actor put in to roles on and off stage. He is the first to bitch about how hard something is for him. IN the last 100+ years we've had actosr act...

Re: QOS ruined by CGI?
The parachute jump is the most obvious(recent) offender.I didn't notice the CGI in the speedboat scenes.I do remember thinking I could tell when it was a strunkman and not Craig in CR though. Craig stuntman looks like steve zahn :D The fight on the stairway in Royale is clearly a double! that scene...

Casino dragged on and on and on. I agree. That poker scene got tedious. I miss Bond playing baccarat, but I guess that died with its replacement in CR. I didnt help that Craig looked like a corpse in that scene :D it was dully filmed as well, i dont think the audience got what was at stake in the g...

I really have avoided harshing on certain Bond boards, but since the topic has been broached, and I think I can discuss this without being too shrill, here goes: This is no shock to me whatsoever. The fact that extreme reactions to anti-EON/Craig posts(especially on MI6) are greeted with venom,especia...

Re: QOS ruined by CGI?
What did Eon spend all that budget on? That's what I keep wondering. Was the opera scene and the Bolivian general's cell-powered base expensive? I think they probably were, but because of Forster's direction, the money wasn't up there on the screen. I watched Dr. No again last night and the contras...

Re: Craig is Bond, but not necessarily Fleming's Bond
Film Bond is largely whoever the producers and actor make him out to be. So this site would be better if it emphasized more on how Craig's Bond differs from Fleming's Bond, rather than just the other film Bonds, in direct contrast to what the Craig supporters are trying to get across. Willy Wonka w...

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
QOS was supposed to be the knockout blow for the Craigers with $200+ million in the US, BAFTA nominations, Bond mania etc. It has hasn't done poorly enough to threaten an immediate change of Bond actor but it has put paid to any nonsense about Daniel Craig making six or seven films. If Bond 23 is a...
