I think people have gone completely nuts over this stuff. It’s insane how so many celebs and politicians are, like, freaking out about this now, as if they aren’t capable of just cooly talking this out like normal people. Quite everything is on such an intimate footing now.

A majority of investors surveyed by CNBC said President-elect Donald Trump will improve the economy after he takes office. CNBC polled about 40 investors last week for the Delivering Alpha Stock Survey, and found that more than two-thirds think Trump will help the economy. The results:

Trumps back to work or be fired has the potential to majorly backfire with too many walking off.
However that could open up new job opportunities for people who no chance at a federal job now.
There’s also the chance they move the federal gravy train out of dc, to other parts of the country which would be welcome for most states and communities .
Weird thing is as a libertarian I thought I had a good idea of how corrupt and sprawling the federal government was. In retrospect I was way off.
The people complaining about funds being cut off probably shouldn’t have funding at all. Some of these workers complaining about going back to work. Some of them are not working, but can’t be fired. I know there are honest people doing the job they said they do at a disadvantage because it’s in their home, convenience, but also inconvenience.

Only thing so far I like about the new government is ntsb , faa seem more able to update the American people instead of the default federal gaslighting setting.
And ice doing their job is haveing a positive impact . It has a potential to hurt if used to the full extent, but right now the system and states are overrun, it’ll take years to hit a point we’re positive influences in the community are harmed. However that’s also the double edged sword of sanctuary cities not holding for ice, once ice gets a ping they’ll go to collect, if they are not held ice goes door to door which will net people who are positive parts of the community.
I think it’ll hit a point in the next few months where communities will want criminals held for ice, just to keep ice out their communities.
Eventually Trump will have to issue amnesty, but I don’t think he’ll do that until his birthright citizenship is solved, and the border secured with the act of Congress so it can’t be undone by executive orders.
Btw July 4th 2026 I think he’ll try abolish the irs as it exists for citizens, I think he will keep it for corporations.

Office of personal management does not have authority over these employees to terminate their employment .
This is either deliberate over reach to give trump a chance to be good cop smack musk down or musk is an idiot who believes he can use doge to do anything because of how loosely these agencies exist under the executive branch
To be clearer courts do not have authority to set nation wide spending policies or direct the government to spend money , executive branch is separate . Courts could on the face of it only direct individual cases in select regions and even that authority would probably lose constitutionally
This is not the private sector

Well Zelenskyy pretty much gave Russia the go ahead to conquer Ukraine .
It was so bad yesterday Marco Rubio ask Zelenskyy to leave.
Unless Europe decides to send soldiers this will end with the UN trying to step in a help survivors.
It will be bloody and it will be bad.
Only way Ukraine get any more aid from us unless congress directly grants it, trouble is most American are tired of wars , thank you W bush. Even proxy wars.
Not staying Trump was prefect and I’m surprised Zelenskyy complaint is Trump was too neutral. I’ve heard complaints that the White House should have dialed this in, they did for weeks. Ukrainian government agreed , Zelenskyy was there as a figurehead.
Before lunch we are neutral , after lunch and deal signed We are an interested party and will demand the war stop immediately, but Zelinsky decided to ambush the White House in front of the media thinking he could win there. I’m not unsympathetic but I don’t think we’re gonna keep helping them and without help Russia is gonna walk all over them.
I think it will get very bad and bloody in the next few weeks. Russia had brakes because it was implied we’d step in if we had to. Unless there are European soldiers there in official capacity nothing will stop them no matter how bloody it gets.
The weirdest theory is that Trump triggered Zelensky on purpose to have a meltdown in front of the press to erode American support crazy theory in my opinion cause I think Trump was really invested in being a peacemaker

Trump acted fine all the time until Zelensky started in with VP Vance. Trump is correct. Ukraine will LOSE the war and very soon without a cease fire and our support. Zelensky is a crumb who cannot account for billions we sent him and REFUSES any ceasefire without the USA GUARANTEEING Putin will NEVER attack again. There is NO such guarantee that any country can make. Trump wants no part of a 10 year war commitment. Zelensky will have to send another envoy going forward if he has any brains to represent Ukraine. By the way, Treasury Secretary Bessent said he wanted this deal signed last week in Europe by Zelensky and he DECLINED to do it TWICE there so he thought he could bully Trump to the media and get his way. What a moron. Trump will deliver the State Of The Union address Tuesday so we can watch what he says on Ukraine, if anything.

Well Ukraine has been losing the war for some time. Zelenskyy seems to think dragging the rest in Europe and us into a hot war with Russia will solve his problems.
Dunno how many more have to die for the idiots leading the war to see sense in stopping it.
There are really awful things being done in the Ukraine by Zelenskyy that are over looked because most of the world rightly feel without him a figurehead the Russians will decide to go for broke and use drastic methods to win .
With the promise of support for Ukraine Russia has to be concerned , our support will be slowly withdrawn , if Europe doesn’t fill it they will quickly fall
But there were several peace treaties in years past and Ukraine turned them down with uk and US happy to use them in a proxy war.
Basicly no nato which was promised in the 90s is strawman used to start the war. It the strawman that can be used to stop the war.
In the west we’ve had a filter on the news, once the real history starts to come out I think it’ll be clear this was as shitty a war as World War One

The Russians cannot annex the whole of Ukraine and turn it into a puppet state. But they may achieve their aim of annexing the coast of Ukraine up to Romania and the territories they invaded in 2014. The Russian army is rubbish but they have endless supplies of cannon fodder from Russian ethnic minorities, North Korea etc, and cheap drones. It seems a bit much that a European country can be annexed in the 2020s.

Look I want the Ukrainians to win, however looking at what was happening I just want them to survive.
There’s a lot of propaganda in the western media and Western government to support this war, a lot of the facts out There are not the complete facts for the complete story.
It was very real as there could’ve been a cease-fire today, and conditions that would have brought in European nations in to help keep the peace . I can argue about the mineral rights and you could even point out that they basically have lost the land in the mineral are on so it’s kind of a pretense for the United States to have a stronger involvement and be a partner because there’s no real way to force Russia to honor agreements for minerals in territory they conquered
I’ll get why the UK Prime Minister said that they’re in it for however long it takes but that’s only if it’s a conventional war, and one that doesn’t grow beyond the borders of the Ukraine .
The difference between Winston, Churchill and Zelensky is huge, although both are crap military leaders . But what they are trying to accomplish is the same. We gave England as much supplies and as many loans as we could before we become involved in World War II. Churchill‘s ultimate goal was to get the United States in as an ally as a partner on the battlefield. that should be Zelensky same goal However, Europeans and Americans are not eager for another bloody global war.
The us is not going to keep supplying the Ukraine , it wouldn’t matter who’s in charge. We really can’t. Our supplies are dwindling , we no longer have a surplus to pull from and we basically pissed away most of our munitions over the course of the last [emoji

I think the Europeans understood what Trump was trying to do unfortunately Zelensky didn’t. By getting worthless mineral rights the United States would be an economic partner who would’ve seen the sovereignty of the Ukrainian nation in a very real way to one stop the killing and stop the loss of territory , there were cease, fire agreements, ready to go. And plans to bring Europeans in to stabilize it.
Zelinski will never regain the territory the Russians now hold, and if Russians get frisky they will start launching missiles on all the cities, even before their armies are ready to conquer them, turn the peaceful zones that exist now into bloody hell scapes. Russia will nuke the Ukraine before allows them to become part of NATO.
The US and European nations are very much to blame for this problem, inactivity, and poor planning led to this along with talk of putting Ukraine in NATO, which was an agreement going back to the [emoji[emoji
