Personally, she didn't impress me.It all started with the "oh,you are so arrogant, and I'm so smart" trope and then after 24 hours she is desperately in love with him. It's not only a poorly devolped story but her characterisation was pretty bland and I didn't see the woman that would Bond supposedly fell hard for.

No, she was very annoying, particularly the way she speaks in the movie.
As much as I do like CR, she is the worst thing in it for me.

I liked her as Vesper. The "flick of a switch" speed that she falls in love with Bond did happen in the novel to be fair.
"Dalton makes an effective Bond - lacking Sean Connery's grace and humor, and Roger Moore's suave self-mockery, but with a lean tension and a toughness that is possibly more contemporary" - Roger Ebert

Move that aside,I still found her to be pretty much bland and boring.Maybe that's just me though. And the make up doesn't really do justice to Eva Green. She looks much better without obvious make up.

I totally agree with this. The couple of scenes in the movie where she doesn't wear any make-up (putting it on in the mirror when Bond tries on his tux, and at the end in the Venice hotel), she looks far better than the ridiculous heavy make-up she wears in the rest of the movie.

She in not unattractive by a long shot, I never understood the choice of make-up or the choice of her as Vesper. She never came close to my estimation of who Vesper was, they easily could find another actress who would be amazing as Vesper. Caterina Murino maybe.

Maybe the casting was all about finding a girl who didn't clash stylistically with Daniel. There were the awful paleface test photo were Daniel looked worse than he did at the boatlaunch, she was in it, I can only imagine it was in an attempt to find the right look for Daniel, oddly it was all in the spray tan.
I don't doubt it they were cast that moive today she would not be called back. Then again some of the casting recently makes me wonder.

I doubt many remember this, right about a month before CR was finished, I want to say around the time of the photo op where Daniel and Eva looked like any tourist couple in Venice. Daniel asked about his leading lady right next to him said, I paraphrase 'oh she's not like the old Bond girls she is a more down to earth beauty.' Essentially I know she is not as hot as Halle Berry, this is a realistic reboot where 007 is short, ugly, & unrefined, this is the best we are going to get. ;)
I'm having some fun with the last bit, it was something like that thou, he accidentally slammed Eva while trying to praise here as more believable.

Really? Well, she is not unattractive that's for sure but with make-up she really doesn't look good. Without make up she may be something above average. Caterina Murino is gorgeous I already wrote that a few times but she has that egzotic beauty you know while Vesper wasn't described like that. I personally think Angrlina Jolie would have made a good Vesper at least by looks. Her acting may be a dofferent story.

But then again with Craig,Angelina would be FAR FAR FAR TOO good looking. If you look it like that then maybe Eva was a good choice.

That's also the name of a movie starring Timothy Dalton and actress that played a major character in popular "The Nanny" comedy series.

No, she was terrible in the film and one of the worst bond women to date.

Exactly!
She BUTCHERED the Vesper character, she was absolutely inadequate.
I don't like CR and she is one of the many reasons why.
