I thought I'd share this with all of you fellow James Bond fans today. Back in 1995 when I was first surfing the web with my Power Mac 7200 (75 MHz!!), I found Kimberly Last's James Bond website. For many years, Kimberly's Bond web page was the premiere James Bond site on the net. But recently I noticed her Bond page was down and I decided to send her a note inquiring about this situation. Here is Kimberly's e-mail response:

I considered Kimberly's Bond web pages as a kind of central hub for James Bond fans on the internet and I never felt her Bond site was lame. I'll admit that I'm a bit biased about this due to the fact that she had linked to my (truly lame) Bond website -- and many other Bond fan sites -- all those years ago. I'm still rather sad about this (especially that last line in her note) and I don't think having a Vesper martini will really help me.

How sad. I visited last December, it was a nice place to find a reference without fuss. Thank you for sharing her response.
You maybe the only on who wrote however we all will miss her site.
I probably would not have the courage to write. There are so many reasons one can have for not renewing a website I would be embarrassed to intrude.

I think she was a big Brosnan fan and Craig critic who lost interest in Bond after Casino Royale was hailed a "masterpiece".

Probably why visits dropped so much with everyone jumping on the "Craig fanboy" train...carl stromberg wrote:I think she was a big Brosnan fan and Craig critic who lost interest in Bond after Casino Royale was hailed a "masterpiece".
I will miss the site too.
"Dalton makes an effective Bond - lacking Sean Connery's grace and humor, and Roger Moore's suave self-mockery, but with a lean tension and a toughness that is possibly more contemporary" - Roger Ebert
