Another Dalton fan, always good to see. Though I prefer TLD, they both take up #'s 1 & 2 in my ranking.
For me the name is Dalton, Timothy Dalton. He was dark, he was ruthless, and he managed to show precisely what Bond was all about: a merciless, calculating, professional assassin. - Gwladys Fouché, The Guardian 2006

Thank you everyone! Yes, I'm kind of a rambling dude. Plus I'm most definitely an old school James Bond fan and .... just kinda old.

But to be perfectly clear (from a fairly recent e-mail note to my best friend) : "I checked out Capone's AICN review of the latest Babs Broccoli debacle starring that gimpy, chimp-faced British Bas***d. Turns out it's ripping off Nolan's The Dark Knight at various turns, eh. But since I'm never going to see this thing, who really cares?"
However, I still care about the James Bond film franchise and I want things to be brought back on track. But at this juncture, I'm just :cuss: about Babs and her half-witted half-brother and what they've both done to Ian Fleming's creation.

Although I'm a younger Bond fan, I've always been into the classic Bond films more. My all-time favourites are Sean Connery and Roger Moore, but I still like Pierce Brosnan, Timothy Dalton, and George Lazenby as well. I was around five or six years old when I first started watching the Bond films on TV, and I just loved the character of Bond and his adventures. The villains/henchmen, the gadgets, amazing sets, nice locations, the music, and all the elements that gave the Bond films thier unique magic, has captivated me for years. But sadly, I find the series no longer holds that special magic. Everything right down to the film posters doesn't have that classic James Bond charm anymore. :( I've tried to get into the Daniel Craig Bonds, but I just don't find them very appealing.

But as you said, I still care about the series, and hope that it will eventually be brought back to the classic style again.

Thank you for this precise summation of how wrong these recent Crag-face Bonds have gone -- it's almost as if Babs B. wants anti-Bond films or something. I find this highly disturbing to say the least. The Bond magic is gone now, but we still have our James Bond Ultimate Edition DVDs to enable all of us to bask in the glory days of Agent 007.

You and I have seen a lot more Bond films in the theatres than most so I know why you feel such outrage against the inane drone currently serving up the role of Bond.

Greetings True Bond fans!! I'm JackJamesBond007, a huge Daniel Craig hater, a huge Barbara Broccoli hater, and a huge Classic James Bond (1962-1999 films;1997-2004 video games) supporter. I'm very glad that a website like this exists and I hope I can finally discuss my hatred of Craig's pussy-persona character with proper Bond fans. I'm tired of shooting down Craig fans everywhere and I'm here to find my comfort in here by bashing around that piece of junk. Nice to meet you, all.

Thanks, I've been looking for a forums like this in a long time. I was a member in the former mi6forums.com, now called mi6community and they were bunch of Craig fans in there bashing every other user who preferred Classic Bond over the new emoist thuggish Jason Bourne-inspired person. However, I'm really glad that there's a private REAL BOND fan club out there. Cheers.

Welcome Jack :!: I left MI6 when they locked their most productive and popular thread I headed because they were sick of Cr-egg haters getting so much attention there. They told me it was not a democracy there and after 3048 responses they locked it and I came here and never went back. Even Sweeney here, aka Jetsetwilly at the old MI6, and a Cr-egg fan to boot, found them a turnoff when they ground zeroed the old forum as if it did not exist, under the probable orders of the green vegetable heading Eon. Welcome to our fortress of anti-Cr-egg Bond solitude :!: Watch Shane, not Cr-egg as Bond, for classic movie viewing.

Oh, that damned Jetsetwilly, eh? I never met anyone so ignorant like him at any forum. And yes, I left MI6 as well. Bunch of Craig lovers, I've sent one of the moderators very offensive message there, and reported about my fulltime resignation. I will never go back to MI6 again, because it's not a Bond fansite there, it's "Daniel Craig's I-don't-know-what I-don't-know-what pornoclub" in there, bunch of damned fangirls. What do you expect from someone who calls Brosnan (the 2nd best Bond next to Connery) a wimp and Craig a tough guy? Craig is as tough as Russians have already invaded Mars. No Man would take a crap from a woman (Vesper Lynd), but Craig did and listened to her like a scared schoolboy, a reason for why I left the cinema before the film was finished. CR bored me to death, and then you know how it did go with the rest. The franchise is not an action series anymore, but it's what I call... chick flicks with guns. Twilight+Nolan's Batman+Matt Damon's Bourne=Daniel Craig.

Jetsetwilly exists here as The Sweeney and has posted here for a long time. I guess you have to get to know him to appreciate him. Even Stockslivevan, aka the Makeshift Python, is a former MI6 poster. Did you enjoy Benny there? He was banned here as Nash. You will enjoy it here. Brosnan was a suitable Connery replacement who wiped out the bad press of the Dalton era and was rewarded by Eon by being unceremoniously dismissed via a phone call from the Queen B herself.

How can I appreciate him if he doesn't appreciate anyone? I wasn't offended in my entire life like I was offended by the Craig gangsters in there. So, I hope Mr. Jetsetwilly behaves himself in here and doesn't attack the other users for hating Craig. I'm still surprised he joined a Craig hating site. Anyway, for me Brosnan was a very good Bond for me, and his first two films are extremely mindblowing, very awesome movies indeed. And Queen Babs will be punished one day for ruining Bond and his reputation, thanks to the Craig clowns, "Bond" is known to the emos as an emotionally unstable protagonist, and because he does some serious salsa moves as the camera shakes, giving the aspect very hard edge, they think he's skilled. But, with that moves in real-life, a KATN like that doesn't even exist, will be washed out of building. However, can you assure me that I will speaking against Craig however I want in here without any disturbances from his fans? Because that's why I joined this forums.

Absolutely :!: I jousted with the old MI6 gang for 2 years, always respectfully, no matter how I was attacked. Then I left. This site is DEDICATED to all things anti-Cr-egg as Bond. 99% of the posters here think like you do. I DETEST all things Cr-egg :!: I have been here 6 years next week and I am loving it here. Bash away at Cr-egg all you like. If you read most posts here, you will see you are in welcomed company :!:

Sweeney is pretty open-minded, and you can have constructive Bond related discussions with him. It's the Craig fans who constantly attack you with personal insults for having a different opinion that I can't stand. Roger Moore is one of my favourite Bonds, and the amount of hate towards him and his fans on some of the other Bond forums is just crazy at times, and since the reboot, the Brosnan fans are unfortunately going through a similar ordeal. For me, this site is not only a good place to freely express my opinions against this new direction, but it's also a good place to discuss classic Bond, since the community here is friendly and open-minded. So you've certainly come to the right place, JackJamesBond007.

I also see that North By NorthWest is one of your favourite films, JackJamesBond007. One of my favourite Hitchcock films as well. It's great to come across young people who are into classic films/TV shows, because I sometimes feel alone in that regard. I grew up watching older films and TV shows, and I've always preferred them over the modern ones. I especially love some of the spy shows from the 1960's and 1970's. When I was in my teens, I started collecting The Saint, Danger Man, The Avengers and other classic series on DVD. There was times when the person at the cash register would look at me as if to say "You actually watch this?!" But I don't care what other people think. Just because a film or show is before your time, doesn't mean you can't enjoy it.
