All that awful corny dialogue between Vesper and Bond
"Shaken or stirred?"
"Do I look like I give a d**n." Well,you are right Craig,you don't.You don't look like Bond at all.

"What did you expect,an exploding pen?We don't do that stuff anymore."-once again you are totally right. You don't do Bond anymore.

Another lowlight of the Fruity Quantum of Solace that still galls as yet another example of the current regime's inability to avoid flip-flopping on the characterization of this new "James Bond" of theirs.

Namely, the moment where our allegedly heroic duo of "Bond" and "Camille" prepare to attack the Villains' Hotel in the Desert all by themselves, in which Craggy patronizingly "mentors" Cah-Mee (as it's so badly over-pronounced by that pansy bad guy Dominik Greeney) on How To Kill Someone For The First Time as if NOW he's The Calm And Hardened Professional instead of the unstable, overemotional, incompetent Rookie that Craggy's been made out to be for two whole movies now. Right down to this pretentious drivel that tries to pass itself off as deep and meaningful dialogue:

"Take a deep breath. You only need one shot. Make it count."

Yeah, there's one to grow on. You pompous ass.

For me it was trying to break free with a clean slate and wiping the old films out of existence, yet still keeping Judi Dench...
"Dalton makes an effective Bond - lacking Sean Connery's grace and humor, and Roger Moore's suave self-mockery, but with a lean tension and a toughness that is possibly more contemporary" - Roger Ebert

That's another thing. Bond is a spy. And when you are a spy you need to be emotionally stable. And competent. Craig is not that. He is unstable and depressed and can't cope with his job. Give me a break. People like that aren't spies. That's why that stupid "he's realistic" argument doesn't work. We don't know what real life spies are like. Even if we met them they certainly didn't tell us what they do for living. Bond does what he does for Queen and Country. "For England Alec" "Oh the things I do for England" "But James I need you" "So does England". Connery's Bond seemed like a man who believed that his nationality separated him from the riff raff. Just watch that dialogue between Dr.No and him. "You must be working for the EAST" He truly believed that what made him better is the fact that he came from West. Moore's Bond was all "aristocratic" like and we all know how they cherish their country. Brosnan's Bond as well seemed to be prepared to do anything for the Country. In GoldenEye Alec even calls him"Majesty's loyal terrier". He also seduced a doctor to get clean bill of health. In DAD he escaped that medical boat. In TND Moneypenny says"For Queen and Country James". He doesn't argue. What Craig's Bond does? He wants to quit after 2 days of knowing this chich because that way "he would have his soul" and when he's shot he spends how many months pretending to be wounded and angry boy  he doesn't pass the tests and M let's him on the task. I mean...if that's not a laugh on intelligence services IRL nothing is.

Since the reboot, I've been noticing suggestions of remakes by some fans. Should the producers ever decide to further crap on the classic Bonds by going down that route, I'm done with this series.

I already am done with the series. I am watching real Bond movies not this "realistic" crap. Now about the remakes.. oh.no. that would be bashing the actors who did the movies first. Although if there is a movie that actually deserved to be done better is TMWTGG. Scaramanga is a great villian and Christopher Lee was awesome. Sadly the rest of the movie is just a bunch of silly stuff. The idea of world's greatest assassin wants to hunt James Bond? Brilliant. Sadly that came out as false alarm. Plus Scaramanga was made out to be "the dark side of Bond". At one point he says "You enjoy killing as much as I do." That would seem more appropriate for Connery,Brosnan or Dalton. But Moore? He was more of a suave adventurer than a spy. That's why it doesn't quite click. Although Scaramanga is definitely a counterpart for Moore's Bond in terms of class and taste.

As ridiculous as it may sound, I still try to have hope that the series will get back on track again. But if the producers go any further overboard with things like remakes or changing Bond's ethnicity/gender, that's when I give up for good.

While the humour in the Moore era was to tailor to his strengths and make him stand out from Connery, Moore's Bond did have his cold-blooded moments. The killing of Stromberg, Sandor, and Locque are just a few examples of this. Some tend to say that he was a little too cruel in The Man With The Golden Gun. I've read someone describe Moore's Bond as "an iron fist in a silk glove". It's kind of similar to Peter Falk's character of Columbo. In the show, the murderers consider Columbo to be a bumbling detective due to his appearance and certain behaviours, but he's actually very smart. He may not be the most bada$$ for some, but Moore's Bond is tougher than most fans make him out to be.

The moment where I bought Moore as a spy was that conversation with Triple X:"When someone's chasing you on skiis trying to put bullet in your head you don't have to remember faces. People die in our buissness. We both know that. So did he. The answer to your question is yes. I did kill him." Brilliant. :spy: Craig fanboys love to say Moore was wimpy-just because he doesn't look like he beats old ladies for pensions like Craig does doesn't mean he's wimpy. They also like to say that about as Brosnan-oh yeah totally the guy who dropped his former friend from a dish threw the guy in a torpedo killed the woman he came close to,made a murder to look like suicide.yeah totally wimpy _.///
