LOS ANGELES – May 3, 2016 – Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War” is storming to the top of Fandango’s Fanticipation movie buzz indicator with a rare perfect score of 100 out of 100 points, representing more than 90% of Fandango’s weekend ticket sales.

“Civil War” has generated record-breaking advance ticket sales, now ranking as Fandango’s #1 pre-selling superhero movie of all time, surpassing “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” “Avengers: Age of Ultron” and “The Avengers.”-------Boxoffice.com: CONS: There are practically no downsides with Civil War — or Disney or Marvel right now, for that matter. This is easily the safest box office bet to hit the market since Star Wars: The Force Awakens.----$214,000,000 opening weekend-------------------------Captain America: Civil War earned an additional $17.2 million overseas yesterday, bringing its foreign box office to $241.5m in its first week. That puts it within smashing distance of The Incredible Hulk‘s entire $263m worldwide cume back in 2008 (inflation, 3D, etc, etc. notwithstanding). At this relative rate, it should have around $275m overseas by the time it opens on Friday (or Thursday night) in America and China. Although it should get a boost over the next two days as it opens in Italy today and Russia and Argentina tomorrow. Of note, the film has earned $32.3 million in South Korea, $30.2m in the United Kingdom, $24m in Mexico, and $15.6m in Brazil. Other highlights include $12.7m in Australia, $11.1m in France, and $10.3m in Japan.

I guess he's hamming it up for this role.
Overall,I feel this is some sort of adult variation of Project X.

Very Wolf Of Wall Street-ish, with a touch of Seagal. Should be out of the theaters 3 weeks after it's released and on to DVD. I like that Alexis Knapp :!:

Limited release and VOD. Looks like those movie people are making a Seagal out of Pierce.

GE will remain Pierce's one hit wonder in the eyes of the majority unless someone gives him a revival. EX4 might do a bit.

Put your review on here after.........“Captain America: Civil War” is dominating the global box office in advance to its domestic debut this weekend.

The Marvel/Disney superhero sequel has generated $261.6 million overseas since it began rolling out in foreign territories last week. On Wednesday, the film racked up another $20.1 million.

“Captain America: Civil War” launches in Russia and Argentina on Thursday. It kicks off in the U.S. and China this Friday. The film has earned strong reviews and is expected to debut to as much as $200 million this weekend, one of the five biggest openings in history. Advance ticket sales have been robust. On Fandango, the film set a new record for a superhero movie and currently comprises 90% of the online ticketer’s weekend sales..................Disney/Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War fired up summer’s cylinders last night with $25M, making it the second highest Thursday night preview among Marvel titles behind last year’s Avengers: Age of Ultron which minted $27.6M.

Young Han Solo was cast. At least he looks something like solo.

Wonder if they'd use him as young Indiana Jones too

Image More prequels. Skull Island will come out next year as a King Kong prequel too. No originality whatsoever in Hollywood.

Don't blame Hollywood, blame the audiences who won't go and see any film that isn't based on an existing property, however high-concept. Yeah, I'm still steamed about Pacific Rim :cuss:

Warner Bros has made a subtle addition to the Justice League braintrust. Ben Affleck, already set to co-star in the film, has signed on to become its executive producer as well.........these idiots never learn.

the whole thing is a ego trip for him. He got the right to write and direct his own batman movie, now this. Maybe he wanted out after he was embarrassed by the disaster that is BvS

Captain America: Civil War‘s matinees are tracking 10%-13% behind Avengers: Age Of Ultron, putting the Disney/Marvel title on track for a $75 million-$80 million Friday and a projected weekend at this point of $178M-$188M. While that’s under Ultron‘s $191.27M, man, it’s really not something to cry about. Should Civil War hook that opening, it will make it the fifth-best domestic opening of all time ahead of Iron Man 3‘s $174M. A big plus for Disney this weekend: 21% of all colleges are off, a number that moves up to 36% on Monday, and then 53% next Friday.

Imagine if a movie could combine the spectacle of You Only Live Twice the movie with the personal conflict of the Twice novel. That's basically what Captain America: Civil War does.

With an estimated $75.2 million (including $25 million from Thursday night previews), the thirteenth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is looking at a weekend around $175 million with an outside chance of finishing around $190 million.

Just this week was reminiscing about YOLT, and reflecting in my triple bourbon. The more time passes, YOLT ranks as the most entertaining "Bond spectacle." Yes, the more perfect Fleming adaption would be OHMSS. As you ask us to 'imagine' what would a new TWICE film be like, combining the old film with the novel. But to back to memory lane, YOLT the film hits so many high points. It's as if EON threw the dice and happened to hit a magical jack pot. Of course, the Old Guard just happened to sign on the top talents in cinematography (for example, the splendid golden toned evening fight in Osato's office -- nowadays 'Bond' fights in seedy bathrooms), music .... I can only assume that John Barry's Bond muse was working overtime, and that he moved by the brilliance of the images, such as the now iconic wedding, 'one golden day' with Bond and Kissy in the dawn, which may be the closest Fleming-sequence of the film. And with that music, maybe of all the films. A close second could be OHMSS with Tracy driving to Marc Ange's ranch, again with those sweeping violins .... ah, to me these scenes capture the essence of Fleming's Bond: times of great beauty, as he wrote "poignant and ephemeral." But let's not get too sentimental! Of course, one could go on and on but for now will say, thanks EON for the memories, and thanks (hopefully) for the next Captain America adventure for blending spectacle with heart. I was watching recently Clint Eastwood's (director) Hereafter where he comments, "It's all in the story." Btw, the ending is one of the most sentimental in a long while, which would make Marc Ange smile. :cake:
You move very well for a dead man, Mister Bond

Kill him!
Kill Bond! Now!!!
