I'd love to be paid millions, be around beautiful women, great locations, do a cool one liner, look the business (even if I am socially awkward), quick sign Me up, worst comes to worse you can photoshop My head on to a slim person and bobs your uncle (if bob isn't your uncle then I apologise it must've been tom).

The guy's living a playboy lifestyle (the dream I always wake up from disappointed it was just a dream) does that make Me sound desperate (meh) but it's like wanting to be ironman it's a cool dream.

Yeah, just by the skin of their teeth! Of course they had to redesign the entire product line in order to impress the great King Craig and his Prince Sammy M. you don't know just how close they were to missing out on advertising in their own movie! _.///

landmines like the one he stepped on when he said he'd slash his wrists before he'd make another bond?

Man that's not even really taking a stand . it isn't even doing anything worth while .

Wasn't that princess Diana's cause? Is this just a cheap attempt at sympathy or whatever by copying her cause?

So now old Danny boy is a humanitarian and, in his benevolence, has taken on the "UN role as global advocate against the use of landmines and explosives." Which means he'll be giving up sleeping in on Sundays, that most casual desire of his, but the unreasonable 128-day work schedule of a Bond film just kept getting in the way. Still, somebody has got to do it, taking on this UN role. What a guy. Next up is the Nobel peace prize. Yeah, this is so desperate. It's the old tactic of diverting attention. Unfortunately for him, Joe Q. Public isn't even aware of the UN, let alone the island country of Cyprus.

Blowfeld wrote:My prediction if this continues as it has is Daniel will be reviled to the lengths of which Timothy and Pierce never experienced.

I don't believe the reaction is limited to the slashing comment, it goes to the "don't give a f**k" about nearly every aspect of Bond, that is insulting to the people paying the bills, the fans. I have been wrong about a lot of things in the Craig Era, for instance I never thought people would buy the reboot gritty nonsense, let alone accept the bastardization of Ian Fleming's James Bond for Barbara Broccoli's.
Daniel made it abundantly clear by his cutting words what he thinks of Bond, the movies, the fans, the legacy. It is not the first time however the lurid imagery he used this time appears to have shaken a great many people out of their stupor.
I'm not confident it will last. However he has transformed himself from gentle soul of an artist who must be protected form those mean DCINB'ers to a stuck up sod who can't appreciate how good he has it. If this image sticks he will not be back, however if the drooling masses by enough tickets for SPECTRE (Skyfall or better) then I don't know if EON, MGM and their new partner hopefully not Sony will be strong enough to cut their ties with man who is only doing it for money.

Say what you like about the other Bonds, with the exception of DAF Connery they never did it only for the money. Timothy and Pierce actually cared about telling good stories and were fighting the EON system to get anything done, they worked just as hard if not harder than Daniel never breaking to the stress of the job. My god they were wonderful doing promotions, I remember Pierce being swarmed by some MTV event fresh off the final scene, he took all the incoming questions with grace and dignity, I have no doubt Timothy, and Roger would be as gracious in similar situations. Why are we paying Daniel such a princely sum to only receive his hatred for it?

I hope Spectre does well enough the franchise does not tank, yet bad enough the power in charge know the writings on the wall.

Why would MGM or Eon care about Daniel Craig's lack of enthusiasm for playing James Bond. The most important thing to them, is that he keeps on making them lots of money. When his box office appeal drops off, that's the end of him.

Sean Connery hated being James Bond, towards the end of his tenure. Even to this day, he takes it for granted that Bond was what catapulted him to stardom.

Aptly named .

Might as well respond .
Let's start with you have not contradicted blowers, nobody believes Craig even Craig bored to suicide is going anywhere if babzy can help it.

You said as long as Craig makes them money and this is the essence of the last sentence . Fail but not bad enough to bankrupt mgm again.

Spectre is a easily $600 million dollar movie with p&a and the star is not only bored he's angry about the whole d**n experience. That had pissed off a lot of people , fans and casual viewers who like bond, if the don't go because of Craig being a ass then eon mgm Sony could lose a lot of money all because of an actor they paid $24 million with the possibility of making a total of $60 Million for 128 days of work decided he was fed up with how beneath him bond is.

I don't understand why James Bond fans are getting so upset by Daniel Craig's negative comments. He's being speaking in such fashion, since the beginning-Casino Royale. As fan, myself, it wouldn't put me off going to see it and subsequently buying it on Blu ray, later.

The casual cinema goer, who isn't a fan, and just want's to watch the best film at the cinema, according to their taste; certainly wouldn't care about that interview, either. To them, all that matters; it's either an enjoyable movie, or, it's boring. So, where's the harm?

Spectre costs $600 million to make, you say? I would of thought it would be a third of that amount, to be honest.

Well, the production budget alone is quoted as $300 million, and then there's publicity and distribution costs to consider. The movie is being heavily promoted.
