Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
New reports speculate that Hilary Swank has been considered to play the iconic role: The Independent reported, "Recently, the web has spawned wild rumours that she will be the next Bond girl, starring opposite Daniel Craig in the forthcoming Sam Mendes-directed 007 film. If it turns out to be true - and that's a big if, given Léa Seydoux is said to be the one to cosy up to Craig - then she'd be the oldest actress ever to play the MI6 agent's squeeze (Honor Blackman was the previous record holder, 39 when she played Goldfinger's Pussy Galore)." "Bond 24" 2015 will reportedly begin filming next month, and a press conference is scheduled for the first week of December to announce the official title and cast of the new Bond flick.......One Hollywood source, who asked not to be named, said "Christopher Waltz is playing Blofeld in the next Bond film. The tone of the 007 films has changed significantly in recent years and the producers have changed the character to fit in with the new-look 007."

I could be wrong about My pm, the sign for warning is vertical instead (facing downwards), not sure what that means and might've jumped the gun, sorry.

Was. Emphasising the CGI and nothing about storylines or acting preformances. Reminds me of the prequel trilogy, awesome CGI, everything else...

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Is everyone on pins and needles this week, waiting for the big press conference from the green vegetable and her hibernating semi-brother who they just woke up to get ready for the announcing of the TITLE and some CAST members of WHO THE HELL CARES, with no plot details as usual? Will rotten Cr-egg show up looking fatigued and waxen or tanned and facelifted?..........The production has acquired the services of two of Nolan’s collaborators for Bond 24. Firstly, Lee Smith, who has edited Nolan’s last six movies, is on-board, as is Hoyte Van Hoytema, who worked as cinematographer on Interstellar.......The Hollywood Reporter confirmed this past week that James Bond will be making his first trip to Rome in his latest movie, with the city apparently playing host to three crucial action sequences. Several high-speed car chases are planned to be filmed through the city’s narrow streets, culminating in one car plummeting into the Tibur River.
In another chase, a Fiat 500 will apparently get crushed near the Vatican, and finally, Bond will parachute from a helicopter onto the rustic Ponte Sisto bridge. Along with additional shooting in other parts of Italy, the production will be filming in the country from February 19th to March 12th.........Bond 24 is going to have another classic ski chase sequence.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Sounds more like Bourne Again (too bad they never used that title)... I may see it for the Bourne action, but it still won't be Bond, unless they pull off a miracle (oh, wait, insert some charm and charisma into the main actor, shoot the thing so it looks like a place we'd like to have a fantasy in ....)
You move very well for a dead man, Mister Bond

The live stream will be hosted at http://www.007.com from 11 a.m. GMT (3 a.m. EST) on Thursday. The event is being staged by Bond producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli for Eon Prods., MGM Studios and Sony Pictures Entertainment.
The live web stream and satellite feed are being be made available to all media outlets, and the announcement will also be live-tweeted via the official James Bond handle @007. A photo call with cast and director, Sam Mendes, will follow.
Alongside Daniel Craig, who returns as the iconic British spy for his fourth Bond movie, the cast is expected to include Ralph Fiennes as M, Naomie Harris as Eve Moneypenny, Rory Kinnear as Bill Tanner and Ben Whishaw as Q. According to press reports, Christoph Waltz will play the iconic Bond villain Blofeld........(this should bring back The Sweeney for commentary with Stocks.)

We should do a live thread. I don't think we've ever had one in this forum before. I suspect it will be very UK/Europe-centic, though, as I can't imagine many of our American contingent being mad enough to get up at 3am just to make snarky comments about a press conference.

I live in the UK, but... well....
I will be locking myself in, and I will not be coming back out until either this sorry mess is a distant memory, or Dalton is universally accepted at the #1 Bond.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Sherlock star Andrew Scott, who plays the TV detective’s nemesis Moriarty, is set to appear in the new James Bond movie as a villain.
The Irish actor, 38, who found fame in the hit BBC show four years ago, will play another baddie in the highly anticipated 007 flick - which has the working title of Bond 24. An insider told the Mirror: “Andrew was hand-picked for a role in the new Bond movie after film bosses loved his star turn in Sherlock.
“Casting directors thought he was perfect to play a baddie and they wanted to use his existing Sherlock profile - and amp it up to the next level.
“Andrew is hoping the move will see him leap from TV to the big screen, where he can eventually divide his time between London and LA. He knows this is his big break.”

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Despite rumors that he was originally approached before Ben Affleck eventually took the part, he said that this was not true, while also admitting that he wasn't approached about playing James Bond either.
"No. I've never heard of that," Bale told Esquire about the James Bond situation. "Equally untrue about them coming to me for Batman, before Ben Affleck...I think it's the right decision. People were talking about this obscene amount of money they were saying was thrown at me. No. I didn't have a single conversation with anybody about ever playing the role again."

I remember when the Skyfall press conference was on I lasted 40 seconds before I had to turn it over.
Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
I thought it might be fun if we were all here taking the piss out of it. But unless anyone knows a way to have two apps visible on screen at the same time on an Android device, I may have to dig out my crappy cheapo tablet. I rarely use it these days, because it moves at the speed of an arthritic snail, but I know that Mrs Kristatos will be using the PC at that time, so I will probably use my phone to watch the live stream and my tablet to type snarky comments here.
