By the way, I looked at that story in The Wrap. It was hidden behind a paywall, but from the little bit I saw. a more accurate headline would be "We asked eight filmmakers who should direct the next Bond film, and Christopher Nolan was the most popular choice".

Health news: Plastic water bottles. The bottles themselves (especially the caps) are significant sources of microplastics in general and polyethylene in particular. A study in Environmental Science & Technology estimated that those who drink most of their water via plastic bottles ingest an extra 90,000 particles of microplastics a year, compared with 4000 for those who consume only tap water. It’s an easy fix to bring a reusable glass or metal bottle with you. Takeout containers are probably a problem as well, particularly if you reheat the food in the microwave, so maybe transfer food to a plate before you nuke it. The other major source of polyethylene exposure is from the air we breathe: fibers from carpets and other textiles, dust from plastic goods, and so on. This study found that perhaps half of our microplastic ingestion happens just from breathing.-----------go back to GLASS bottles I guess.

He has better than a 50% chance of directing Amazon's Bond film then he did with EON for sure and they could sign him up for a 3 film arc as well.

We need to reduce the use of plastics in general, but the fossil fuel lobby is going to fight tooth and nail to stop that happening.

Barbara is quoted as telling friends that Amazon executives were “f--king idiots.” Not surprisingly, those choice words did not go over well with Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos. “He read her quote in the Journal and got on the phone and said, ‘I don’t care what it costs, get rid of her,’ ” is how one insider describes what happened, confirming that what Bezos ended up paying for the franchise was close to a billion dollars.........and that is how it ended for EON as they sail off into the sunset and Broccoli must hope they fail in making a great NEW Bond film without her input.

With speculation rife as to how Amazon will capitalize on its new property, the Daily Mail quotes an insider at the streamer explaining: “There have been so many erroneous rumours about the future of Bond. Amazon is committed to keeping the spirit of Bond alive and that means he has to be British or from the Commonwealth – and he has to be male.”-------gee whiz what a revelation! No kidding!

They're just punching back at Babz and her minions with their "Americanation" talking point. I foresee quite a bit of back and forth through the media in the coming year.

It's nice to hear them say it, though.

True, it's reassuring, just get ready for a lot of petty back and forth between the two parties. I would have though Babz walking away would have mitigated this to some degree, but it seems they'll still be sniping at each other for the foreseeable future.

After a lackluster opening, Captain America: Brave New World has managed to obtain one victory: it’s not the lowest-grossing film led by the namesake hero. The new movie has managed to overtake The First Avenger, both globally and in the US, though earnings still aren’t huge........looks like a bust compared to other Marvel films. Mackie and his new sidekick are NOT box office draws. There have been some crummy Marvel films lately.

To be honest, I think people are suffering from superhero fatigue. It will be interesting to see how well the forthcoming Superman movie does. Will another reboot save it, or have people had enough? I know nothing will ever beat the first two Christopher Reeve films, but those were nearly half a century ago.

Tanqueray has been doing a cross promotion with The White Lotus-The White Lotus Vesper martini. Never been a fan of gin so can't speak to much there.

Krypto will be the new draw! Reeve's 3rd and 4th Superman films were unwatchable.

The first two were magnificent, though, and set a ridiculously high bar for others to follow. The new film is said to have a tone somewhere between Guardians of the Galaxy and Wonder Woman, both of which I liked, so I'm hopeful.

Disney’s Snow White won’t hit theaters until March 21, but for the team at the Mouse House, that date can’t come soon enough. The female-skewing live-action event pic, which remakes Walt Disney’s cherished 1937 animated classic, has been under fire for years on social media due to a combination of the film’s progressive creative decisions and star Rachel Zegler‘s controversial comments, while also suffering from culture-war attacks that seemed doggedly determined to torpedo the perceived “woke” film no matter what. As a result, Disney is handling the movie’s rollout in some unique ways. In news that broke earlier this week, Disney is taking next-level measures to stage manage the film’s world premiere in Los Angles on March 15. While the event won’t be scaled back, as some headlines claimed, the studio isn’t allowing regular red carpet press to attend in order to prevent Zegler and Gal Gadot, who plays the Evil Queen, from answering questions on the spot........a $280 million potential bomb with a woke joke lead actress with a big mouth! Go woke now, go broke now! SNOW WOKE is what the internet has been calling the film.

I honestly prefer 3 and 4 over everything that followed  , solely because Reeve was so good in the role. Even in Superman IV- with the whole d**n movie visibly falling apart around him- Reeve still manages to be convincing as the character.

It's actually quite similar to how I feel about Bond, since I'd happily watch Connery at his worst before choosing anything with Craig.
