So true! The interesting part for me was that one Bond blogger noted Amazon is more capitalized than MGM and that would benefit EoN with more production value and more timely movies. Counter intuitive to Pluto's observation that prolonging the process was smart because of the financial state of tinseltown. If my front stoop is any indication with all the packages my family gets from Amazon, they certainly are flush!!Kristatos wrote: ↑Mon Sep 02, 2024 8:02 pmIt's 1989 all over again.Jason wrote:https://www.thetimes.com/uk/arts/articl ... -h0qf80k22 more speculation article dated 9/1/24

God I hope they don't try to string together a series of stories over multiple films! Didn't they learn their lesson last time?Jason wrote: ↑Mon Sep 02, 2024 8:00 pm https://www.thetimes.com/uk/arts/articl ... -h0qf80k22 more speculation article dated 9/1/24

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
But why did Guadagnino choose the man known for playing a heterosexual icon for this part? Cr-egg is “one of the greatest actors,” said Guadagnino. But that greatness doesn’t involve monologues or going big and tragic. What makes him great, said the director, is his “capacity to be mortal on-screen, and very few are, and very few iconic, legendary actors allow that fragility to be seen.” For his part, Cr-egg said that fragility was what made him want, desperately, to do the movie. “‘Queer’ is this emotional thump in a tiny book, and it is about love, but it’s about loss, it’s about loneliness, it’s about yearning, it’s about all of these things,” said Cr-egg, assuaging any doubts that he was the right actor for the role. “And I mean, my God, if I was writing myself a part, and trying to tick off things that I wanted to do, this would fulfill all of them.”

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
A journalist asked Cr-egg: “Do you think there could be a gay James Bond?” The 007 star simply rolled his eyes and said: “I mean…please!”
Director Guadagnino answered instead saying: “Guys, let’s be an adult in the room for a second. There is no way around the fact that nobody would ever know James Bond's desires, period. The important thing is that he does his missions properly.”

Yes indeed this guy Cr-egg is one great actor praised by his colleagues constantly.....NOT! How this thing ever earned a dime in films is symbolic of the culture we live in today. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=teD48Kt6FMk&t=10s

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Jason, your fellow Argonauts here are wondering the same thing but Broccoli just does not care! ------Cr-egg holds the first two installments closest to his heart. “Dr No and From Russia with Love,” he unequivocally told Devin Faraci when pressed for his favourite Bond flicks. “They’re great, just the best; they’re two of my favourite movies. Sean Connery being physical, scary, complicated, bad, all those things about the character. Besides whether it’s Bond, it’s a great character; it’s something he created that’s lasted this long. Those two are very special.”

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Everyone is wondering what's going on with Bond, as the guy in the video said we (I say "we" in the editorial sense, personally I couldn't care less at this point) aren't demanding a new film, just some indication things are moving forward, of course auntie Babz can't be bothered, she's got to get Danny's sure fire flop passion project out. If she doesn't watch out Bond could slip from the zeitgeist, sure the hardcore fans will be around, but without reinforcement their numbers will continue to dwindle. Bond fandom skews older and a half decade of radio silence until some form of legacy media announcement (press conference, article in GQ etc.) is finally crapped out won't do anything to change that.Jason wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2024 11:54 pm Even MSM is wondering where Bond is https://youtu.be/lsbcqX4xAbY?si=Y4ZgJDDRsRq1hWBa
Probably the only two he could name, his own included. Note he had to be "pressed" to name them, I've never seen someone so ashamed of something they were apart of!

I remember an interview with him talking about exotic locations being part of the films' appeal, and he mentioned that one of them had been filmed in Japan, but couldn't actually name it, of course.dirtybenny wrote:

a thoughtful take on things . Might also indicate Amazon is starting to spread their side of the story.dirtybenny wrote:God I hope they don't try to string together a series of stories over multiple films! Ben Whishaw starred as Q in three James Bond flicks alongside Daniel Cr-egg, but over the weekend, the British actor said he isn’t expecting to receive a call to star in a fourth.
“I don’t think I’m going to be in the next one,” Whishaw told the BBC’s Laura Kuenssberg. “I think they’re going to start all over again, and with a new cast, a completely new cast. I think that’s my hunch, but I don’t know. I have no idea.”

ANOTHER Superman reboot with a twist of originality---James Gunn’s upcoming DC movie, Superman, will feature Krypto, Superman’s superdog. Comic writer Mark Waid confirmed this movie update during a podcast, discussing Gunn’s plans for the character. The film features Krypto, showcasing a well-known aspect of Superman’s story, with David Corenswet taking on the role of Superman...........KRYPTO will be explored for the first time!

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
I watched the Thor:Love And Thunder movie on cable tv last night. It is another horrible superhero film with a moronic and maudlin plot that never should have been made. It ranks up there with the first Hulk film, Reynolds Green Lantern, and the second Wonder Woman debacle as horrendous.
