The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Apparently, there's a clickbait story doing the rounds that George Lazenby has died. Don't worry, he's alive and well.

NY City is like living on Mars today with yellow air covering the sky due to Canadian fires.
Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
I have a Facebook friend in Canada who has mentioned these fires. This is the first time I've seen a photo of the effects, though.bjmdds wrote:NY City is like living on Mars today with yellow air covering the sky due to Canadian fires.

I've seen a couple of comments on Twitter from people on the west coast saying "Oh, so it's newsworthy now that it's reached New York?"

Air Quality Index here hit 484! 500 is the top number on the scale indicating HAZARDOUS. It irritates one's eyes and nose even indoors.

So, I asked the AI art program DALL-E to draw Hoagy Carmichael, but with a crueller mouth. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you...Flemming's Bond!

BJ's picture of New York looks like the New York in Soylent Green.

That’s the way it goes until a fire/disaster hits somewhere the media cares about/heard of it’s not worth covering.
It’s like this too for missing persons , poor /ethnic not a big deal. The one that’s hit the news are usually pretty children of the rich. I know this is my bias based on the history of reporting, kids go missing off the res nobody covers it. And it does appear media is aware of this and is trying to cover more missing persons regardless of race or gender.

I don't know if this has anything to do with the Amazon/MGM deal, but the Kindle store has some good prices on Bond-related books right now. I picked up The James Bond Bedside Companion by Raymond Benson and Love and Let Die: Bond, The Beatles and the British Psyche by John Higgs for under £3 each.

The Cavill one is the best, predictably.

Going by the title of the article alone, it seems like the tide might be finally turning(at least a little bit)

Though I think more work could have been done with some of the others, removing facial hair and generally cleaning up their appearance.

The Flash looks set to open with a dismal $60 million in North America, and short of a miracle overseas, it's going to be 2023's second DC Extended Universe box office flop!
Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
I believe a lot of that had to do with its star. I haven't delved into the details of exactly what Ezra Miller has done, but I understand he's not a nice person.bjmdds wrote:The Flash looks set to open with a dismal $60 million in North America, and short of a miracle overseas, it's going to be 2023's second DC Extended Universe box office flop!
