Facebook is meant for those yearning to be a celebrity by posting their daily routines on it without realizing nobody gives a d**n about their posts :!: It breeds narcissism and reunites people from the past who never really mattered in their lives by exchanging pleasantries that will amount to nothing. It brings out the Kar-trashian in people, opening up their lives to the public. Selfies are the most revealing entity on Facebook and it says a lot about those that post such drivel. Call someone and speak to them instead of posting words on a page which conveniently keeps people apart from any real interactions. There are morons that actually post pictures of themselves on vacations whereby criminal internet stalkers get an idea which homes are vacant :!:

Queen: “Harry and Meghan have made clear that they do not want to be reliant on public funds in their new lives,” the 93-year-old continued. “It has therefore been agreed that there will be a period of transition in which the Sussexes will spend time in Canada and the UK. These are complex matters for my family to resolve, and there is some more work to be done, but I have asked for final decisions to be reached in the coming days.”-----------I hope the UK posters can sleep better now at nights.

Singer Eilish might make film history as the youngest artist ever to record the theme song which will appear at the start of Daniel Craig’s fifth and final 007 film. Once April is over it is irrelevant who did what and when the past 15 years with this franchise. Cr-egg's films won't be popular on cable tv as are the other ones. Broccoli turns 60 in June. What will MGW give her for her big birthday? She can do us all a favor and sell EON to MGM and/or SONY and get the hell out of running the franchise into the sound. Imagine-----only 4 more months of the doooooooooooooooofus as Bond :!:   :happy spin: MP, get out the :martini: :!:

2012 Aintitcoolnews interview: Barbara Broccoli - Yeah. The invisible car. It’s kind of crazy, because the invisible car was based on some military technology about camouflaging military vehicles out in operations, and it kind of went from being something that was semi-practical, to being too fantastical. Our approach to it was misguided. So we felt... It wasn’t that we were unhappy with Pierce Brosnan, it was that we felt we had to take a change of direction in terms of the Bond character and the series, and we had to go back to reality, because we’re living now in a post-9/11 world. Frivolity didn’t seem appropriate. So around that time, or a year or two before, as a result of the settlement between all the legal wrangling, we’d gotten the rights to Casino Royale, which had been the Holy Grail of the Bond books. And the book that Cubby [Broccoli] and Harry [Saltzman] had wanted to make, but Fleming had sold the rights to TV and then to Columbia, who’d made a spoof out of it. So, the two events collided. One was a decision to take a change in direction, and the other was that we had the rights to Casino Royale. So Michael [G. Wilson] and I felt it right and appropriate to tell that story. And in order to tell that story, we needed to recast the role, because we had defined a Bond who... The whole point of that story is that it’s Bond becoming James Bond. So it’s the man who is basically a blunt instrument, who, through a sort of rite of passage transforms into the James Bond that we all know now, so we had to recast the role. And it was extremely difficult to say that to Pierce. Because A, he was incredibly successful, and the public loved him, and B, we loved him. We’re very close to him and his whole family, so it was a very tough decision. But we felt we had to do it for the longevity of the series. And he understood that. He took it like a gentleman, and we remain very close.

huh. This film has to be a hot mess. I don’t think zimmer is a bad choice he’s been a fanboy dream for years, it doesn’t seem like the director is being given his due this seems like a classic Craig ego trip maneuver

Same with the singer Eillish , she is en vogue at the moment. But from her reputation she’s got an attitude so I doubt she’ll give eon what they want or be wowed the eon asked for her like Adele or the other two from specter and quantum. Eillish is in demand right now and if she did give them a theme itd be faster than Adele or Sam smith wrote there pos lyrics

yeah this is when they made up with brosnan, before 2012 the 50th they still talked s**t about brosnan and he was still pissed at them, then he was paid to join roger Moore (who couldn’t say a bad word about the people who dissed his fans) to promote the 50th Blu-ray set. Funny to hear her use a point made here about where the camouflage came from and of course talk about 9-11 changing bond and bond becoming bond, first dad was a 2002 film after 9/11. Second bond becoming bond nobody believes that crap now, they’ve pissed on the book series and movie series to add some soap opera drama.

When pierce brosnan was cheated out of his fifth film, before Quinton Tarantino pitched CR to them eon never intended to make it, eon couldn’t admit brosnan did nothing wrong to be fired. The Sony attack machine tore him down and their talking points still come up in people reviewing Cr and Craig career today even if they do not like the Craig series.

I don’t think the Craig era will be remembered well, he thinks he’s been vindicated because he stayed so long, but he didn’t make bond movies he made Craig movies, he stalled the series. It can be redeemed but not with babs in charge or Craig involved

Btw cubby had a chance to make Cr , right after thunderball, Connery was asked to play bond in Cr for a lot of money, but he wanted cubby and saltzman to be in it too, those two were unhappy they had to split the thunderball money with a third party so didn’t even consider it, so the Cr 1967 was made instead.

IMO the best recent "Bond theme" is from a parody, albeit played fairly straight:

Slate.com: As Joker receives 11 Oscar nominations, the most of any movie, including Best Picture and Best Director—is the day that someone must stand astride the tracks and say: Enough. Stop the madness. Joker is not the best picture of the year. Joker is dumb as hell.

Oh yes, this is quite a talent :!:  She belongs singing the theme in Joker instead. Brainless Broccoli must have been impressed last year with the 717 MILLION views of her video. Can this franchise sink any lower than to use this 18 year old punk to follow prior Bond women theme song singers :?: :!: At least Cr-egg will go out properly with a degenerate singer to send him on his way :!:

Now I'm trying to think where I've heard the instrumental portion of that song before. Pretty sure it was used in some commercial or something. That's going to bug me all day.

Talking to Variety, long-time James Bond producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson revealed that they haven't started the search for the new 007, but did tease that they could be looking abroad. "You think of him as being from Britain or the Commonwealth, but Britain is a very diverse place," Wilson noted. However, Broccoli reiterated that there won't be a female Bond and for a very good reason. "He can be of any colour, but he is male. I believe we should be creating new characters for women – strong female characters," she explained. "I'm not particularly interested in taking a male character and having a woman play it. I think women are far more interesting than that." --------- “I’m in total denial,” says Broccoli, about Craig leaving the role. “I’ve accepted what Daniel has said, but I’m still in denial. It’s too traumatic for me.”-----“He brought flesh and blood to the character,” she says. “Bond in the novel is a silhouette. Daniel has given him depth and an inner life. We were looking for a 21st-century hero, and that’s what he delivered. He bleeds; he cries; he’s very contemporary.”------“We have come to an emotionally satisfying conclusion,” says Broccoli.-------------If anything, Broccoli and Wilson’s experience with Craig has emboldened them to shake up the Bond formula. On paper, the choice was shocking. Craig, with his blond hair, boxer’s swagger, creased face and gruff volatility, didn’t fit the mold. He wasn’t conventionally handsome, he didn’t smack of fine living and chateaubriand and he lacked the black or brown locks that previous Bonds, from Sean Connery to Pierce Brosnan, had all rocked — though in Connery’s case that was courtesy of a toupee. Craig’s selection was considered to be such an affront to 007 purists that websites, dubbed CraigNotBond, sprang up to decry his casting. Even the actor was surprised to win the role.----------“To be honest, it took me a little while to see it,” admits Campbell. “Daniel’s acting was terrific, but he wasn’t a pretty-boy. Barbara was adamantly in favor of him.”

I think they also said something about it can’t be a woman. But for some reason diverse for those two means black, their ultimate trump card is black and female possibly gay. So their woke 1970s?

I don’t think they said anything new really. Same old talking points. Rhythm section and NTTD may both under preform , babs may be a “has been” by may , of course I’m not going to hold my breath the audience will have a solo or Batman v Superman awakening moment to shock eon out of its stupor. Those two never had to prove themselves, they have gotten away with half assed production and been rewarded for it so far, although QOS and SP were their lowest points financially with SF being their best reward, which copies dark knight movies and moves closer to being bond begins than any other of their movies with Craig.
Talking with friends about 1917 somebody points out it’s mendes Dunkirk and how he dropped his own style to copy Christopher Nolan’s, they also brought up how he was a poor mans Nolan when bond couldn’t get him (Nolan)on board to direct Craig. I had forgot about how much mendes literally steals from Nolan

I get why she popular, honestly imho her style is weird and lifts a lot from other artists. Apparently she thinks she has special talent and resents some of the music industry trappings. She’ll not be giving eon a standard kiss ass single release like Adele did, and Sam what’s his face . Maybe I’m wrong but I’m from her reputation I don’t get the feeling she’ll knock out a quick tune repeating the title of the movie.
Now if eon wanted to remix one of her existing songs maybe that works out better. But to knock out an original tune in less than two months is asking a lot. Especially if the artist has any professional pride, apparently Adele, Jack white Alicia Keys and Sam what’s his face felt bond is a sub genre of music that doesn’t have to be good.

I believe she has some form of autism, so I'm prepared to cut her some slack about not playing the music industry game (though her statement about how thrilled she was to be doing this was boilerplate PR-speak). The songs of hers that I've heard don't exactly scream "Bond theme" to me, though. I suppose I should reserve judgement until the song is actually released, but the signs point to another DAD, with a totally unsuitable song used in order to grab a popular artist.
