No pleasing you is there mate. Here I thought you'd be pleased. Normally vampires and Jackson in this thread would be something akin to Craig is the vampire who killed Michael Jackson after he found out This Is It was going to expose him. Also Craig was the one stealing Jackson skin pigmentation. I think you'll find the days match upCaptain Nash wrote:It's the all new 'Michael Jackson and Vampire thread' featuring bjmdds.

Genre changes come and go in Hollywood. Now, vampires and wizards and Marvel superheroes dominate, as did space movies with Star Trek and Star Wars years back. What will be the next genre to electrify the masses? Maybe a new Bond direction which reverts back to the original concept that was widely popular?

Hi
I thought i'd just pop by to see whats going on.
Getting a bit fed up with this MGM financial debacle.
Does anyone see it being sorted out soon.....or can anyone see the
Bond franchise going to a rival studio?
Anyway i'd like to see a new film soon i.e the next couple of years, as being
51 years old, i want to be able to see a good few Bond films before i drop dead
Just a side note here...is anyone here glad to see that Ridley Scott is back making
a proper Alien film (Alien Prequel) after the dire last Alien film and those
less than mediocre AVP films, particularly AVP requiem, which was truly abysmal,
though latest 'Predators' film was quite good.
How are you doing BJ?
Be seeing you.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
The action flick THE KILLER ELITE is putting together an interesting cast -- besides the dual knuckle sandwiches and trigger fingers of Jason Statham and Clive Owen, the film will also feature veteran Robert DeNiro and delectable "Chuck" spychick Yvonne Strahovski, according to Moviehole.
The story is based on a book called "The Featherman", about a group of former special forces soldiers being targeted by assassins. Statham is a Navy SEAL who comes out of retirement to rescue his kidnapped mentor (DeNiro) and help his hunted chums in the thriller, currently shooting Down Under with commercial director Gary McKendry.
The movie will also feature Dominic Purcell ("Prison Break") and Aussie actors Aden Young, Firass Dirani, Ben Mendelsohn and Lachy Hulme, who is perhaps best known for being one of the earliest and repeated names supposedly "in the running" to play the Joker in THE DARK KNIGHT. (FYI - He didn't get the part.)

Does she turn them into vampires to keep them around or let them die of old age, this after she wanted to live forever with Eddie? Hello EA. Come back more often. Eon has nothing to crow about so they are dormant in the news. I hope another company does buy them out but Babs ego is too big for that. Does she have little ones of her own to groom for the producer role?English Agent wrote:Hi

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
The only big development keyword is postponed. Other than that it seem a lot of nothing except I did read something last week seemingly from someone official stressing that MGM owns half of Bond nothing can happen without them, I take that as nothing can happen until MGM wants it to with no penalization. Unlike what some people were saying they could go to a new studio because of the delay. Mazer was saying MGM will keep bond back because it cost so much and use the first of the money they get to make the Hobbit movies.English Agent wrote:Hi

Nobody knows what MGM is going to do. All we can do is look at it logically and suspect. I did not say MGM will not fund a Bond movie I only suspect if they have a much smaller budget for working capital they will push the Hobbit and by necessity postpone a new Bond for another budget year. We know nothing as of yet. All we do know is that it is time for another forbearance. At the moment the only thing that would surprise me is if Lions Gate were to win the day. It doesn't make sense from any perspective on that one. I would hope a leaner stronger studio like Spyglass or Summit would be brought in. But this is the game we play.

MADRID (AFP) – Oscar-winning film star Sean Connery and his wife Micheline have been placed under investigation in Spain over allegations of tax fraud, the first step to formal charges, local media reported Thursday.
Investigators suspect a property firm linked to the 79-year-old Scottish actor failed to pay 1.6 million euros (two million dollars) in taxes, the Spanish newspaper Sur reported on its website citing judicial sources.
The unpaid taxes reportedly stemmed from the sale of development rights to land on the outskirts of the Mediterranean resort of Malaga, the paper said.
AFP was not able to immediately confirm the report.
The James Bond star, who currently lives in the Bahamas with his wife, was named in May in a separate money-laundering investigation involving the sale of a luxury seaside villa just east of Marbella, which is near Malaga.
Connery sold the villa, named Malibu, in 1999 reportedly for around for nine million dollars.
The villa was subsequently knocked down, and a four-storey luxury apartment complex with 72 flats was built on the land where it once stood in 2004-2005, despite planning rules which said only five homes could be constructed on it.
In May police raided the Madrid and Marbella offices of a law firm which is believed to have handled the sale of the firm as part of their investigation in an operation codenamed "Goldfinger" after the 1964 James Bond film.

Always heard Connery was tight on money. Not paying taxes will come back to get you. Although Spain and the rest of Europe are in big financial trouble so maybe this is a shake down.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Being a glamorous secret agent suits Angelina Jolie just fine. As long as it is just for the movies.
"I couldn't keep a secret life because it is just not natural to me and my family, but I think is a great sacrifice people make," the actress said in an interview with AFP ahead of the release of the spy thriller "Salt," in which she stars.
In the interview in a Washington hotel, Jolie said she would have a difficult time in real life as her character, CIA agent Evelyn Salt, who is accused of being a Russian spy and must prove her innocence while on the run.
Jolie, a 35-year-old mother of six and UN goodwill ambassador for refugees, said the public understands spy films are fiction despite the recent high-profile case involving a dozen so-called Russian sleeper agents.
"I think most people are smart enough to just recognize entertainment, because we've had spy movies and entertainment around for a very long time," said Jolie, her hair hanging loose around her shoulders and wearing a black sleeveless dress that revealed her famous tattoos on her arms.
"In reality it is entertainment even though is based on things that are possible. I think we didn't focus on the politics as much as the people and their personalities."
For her role, Jolie consulted with a real spy, Mellisa Boyle Mahle, a former US intelligence officer and an expert on the Middle East and counterterrorism.
"I tried to take it as seriously as I would any dramatic role, I try to think about her childhood, what kind of person she would be and the things that make her sad or the things that make her happy," Jolie said.
"We talked about the sacrifice of not being able to share with your family, and... what a relief it is when you retire and you can finally talk."
The action film, featuring explosions, car chases and a fast-paced plot line, was directed by Phillip Noyce and co-stars Liev Schreiber and Chiwetel Ejiofor. The movie begins wide worldwide distribution in the coming week.
Jolie also told AFP she would welcome another film with her partner and Hollywood star Brad Pitt, with whom she co-starred in the action flick "Mr. & Mrs. Smith."
"Of course, of course," she said when asked about playing opposite Pitt again, but said the film would have to be carefully chosen.
"I think when you are a real couple, (there are) some things audiences prefer to see real couples do, and some things they really don't like to see real couples do, so you have to be very careful," she said.
"I'd like to do everything with him, I love to be just with him... I don't think it is a risk for us, we have fun doing everything together."
Jolie said she strives to limit her film work as she juggles her role as mother, actress and UN humanitarian envoy.
"I schedule a lot, and in advance," she said.
"I only work for a few months and then I take many months off. Before 'Salt' we got a year and half off and just traveled and I just was a mom.
"And now I'm not working for five to six months... Brad's working and I'm just being a mom and traveling."
She enjoys travel and tries to visit the locations where some of her adopted children were born.
"I want to discover everything," she said. "I will always love the countries that my children are from, they will always be special to me."
Jolie adopted her son Maddox from Cambodia, daughter Zahara from Ethiopia, and her son Pax Thien from Vietnam. Her biological daughter Shiloh was born in Namibia and her twins Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline were born in France.
Even though she has won an Oscar and other awards, Jolie said she still holds up Meryl Streep as today's leading actress.
"I don't know if I'll ever be as good as she is, she's so brilliant," Jolie said. "She is the one we all try to be as good as, but none of us will ever be as good as Meryl."

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Martin Campbell of 2 Bond actor origin fame is enjoying his first superhero directorship for The Green Lantern, due out June 2011. He hopes to "Iron Man" it and be a big enough hit for a trilogy. I just don't like Ryan Reynolds as the lead, especially after his big role in Adventureland with Kristen Stewart(dread awful role) or his brief attempt as a superhero in X Men Origins:Wolverine(which might land him that spinoff). Does anyone think RR can pull off such a lead? They were going to spoof the role with Jack Black but decided on a serious film instead(good) would be done. Ryan Reynolds? What say yee?
