Didn't do Shawshank any harm.bjmdds wrote:Craig's film, now called The Invasion, aka The Visiting, does not appear to have a website, and no trailers can be found. It was shelved in 2006, rescheduled for theatres twice, and it looks like this film will not be a hit at all. The producers waited until after Casino Royale was in the theatres to release it, but it looks like this one may go to DVD quite soon.

I agree that the omens aren't good, but let's at least give it a chance before condemning it. Yes, I said the same about CR, but just because my fears were confirmed, it doesn't mean I was wrong to do so.007 wrote:Films that sit on the shelf after they've been completed rarely turn out to be classics. Oh well.
So how long do you think we'll have to wait untill we get a title for Bond 22, and what are your thoughts on Paul Haggis doing a re-write again?
Personally I love finding out the title of each Bond film, and after CR, I'm very glad that Haggis is back as well.
Now all we need is a d**n good director, and someone like the oft rumoured Marc Forster would be a great one methinks.

I think EON will wait until the fall, maybe October, to release the title of Bond 22. It is supposed to start filming in January, 2008, and I think they will try to keep some intrigue going. The director should be announced at the same time I would think. Will they test the script with a focus group?

I did, I rate Jaws as one of the greatest films ever made. Up there with the likes of Lawrence Of Arabia, The Wizard Of Oz and Vertigo.
What great casting Jaws had though, Shaw, Dreyfuss and Scheider are simply brilliant in my eyes. It's one of the best ensemble casts I can think of.
Shaw made a great villian in films, Grant and Quint are his best. Such a shame he passed away at a relatively young age. Very talented man.

Agree 1000% Nash. Shaw's two best roles. He was OK in The Deep, after Jaws, but Quint and Nash were outstanding, and you utilize his photo as your avatar so I assumed you liked him as an actor. Jaws was one of the best films ever made. From that, to Munich, was quite a range. Did you like Jaws II, for I could take it or leave it. Shaw looked quite fit in FRWL compared to Jaws, 11 years later.Captain Nash wrote:I did, I rate Jaws as one of the greatest films ever made. Words of a genuine jackass. I'm done with this thread.bjmdds wrote:I have recently joined this website and I am very glad that there now is an available forum section on this website. To date, MI6 and Commanderbond.net have been the major players in the discussion of Daniel Craig's first outing as James Bond in Casino Royale. The problem with the other forum sites has been whenever a member with contrary views to either Craig or CR has posted their opinions, they are immediately attacked, like a swarm of bees, ridiculed, mocked, cursed at, defamed, and belittled by the masses of pro-Craig/CR members. Those two other sites are overwhelmingly in favor of the direction that Eon has taken with the Bond franchise. The minority of members in both of those sites have found it hard to debate fairly and intelligently any counter reviews or beliefs to Casino Royale. Both sites have there pitbull attack dogs ready to go whenever someone even hints that CR with DC is no longer a Bond film, no longer part of the historic franchise, and no longer recognizable as what it should be. CR was more successful at the international box office than it was in the USA. I hope this particular forum site can grow with members who in a cordial manner can openly debate various dissenting opinions of what Daniel Craig has done to the Bond franchise. By the time the next Bond film comes out, in November 2008, I hope this forum site has gathered a sizable amount of new members whose contrary opinions are appreciated, not attacked.

That isn't warranted. Your out of line IMO. It's quite out of character for you Stockstockslivevan wrote:Words of a genuine jackass. This comment is out of left field and makes absolutely no sense and it may have shown the 'irrational' behavior of one of our posters, after all of this time.. Good riddance, you shall be heard from no more. Bizzare indeed, my friends.stockslivevan wrote:Words of a genuine jackass.
