Actually I have a confession to make on that one.katied wrote:[Field Of Dreams] If Daniel Craig makes a crappy non Bond film, the Bond nerds will come[/Field Of Dreams]![]()

During the Brosnan years I will admit I watched,Taffin, The Lawnmower Man, LiveWire, Death Train, The Fourth Protocol, Mrs.Doubtfire, Mars Attacks, Dante's Peak, The Thomas Crown Affair, Greyowl, The Tailor Of Panama, Laws Of Attraction, After The Sunset, The Matador and Seraphim Falls. All due to Brosnan.
Yep, he was for his time Bond...James Bond, and thus was my Pope. Though everyone's day in the sun has to end. Especially where OO7 is concerned.
As for Daniel Craig, well outside of his Bond exploits, I've watched Road To Perdition, Tomb Raider, Layer Cake, Munich and The Golden Compass.
Not that I don't like Craig. I think he makes an excellent Bond.
Make of that what you will, but I look forward to see how this will confuse katie.

Seems that Casino Royale was a ratings winner on Australian TV last night.
http://www.throng.com.au/ratings/free-a ... er-27-2009Channel 7 easily won the night over all other channels without the help of a secondary digital channel. Sevens’ 6pm - 8.30pm line up blitzed all other channels, coming first in all of those time slots. After 8.30, ABC1’s extremely popular Midsomer Murders dominates. Based on ratings averages, Australian Idol was second in the 8.30 time slot, but 7’s Bond movie Casino Royale regained the top spot for the network as the night went on.

How many non- Bond turkeys is Craig going to make before Hollywood realizes he's a nobody when he isn't in the Bond films?

Both of these posts made about an hour ago.Craig's not exactly a box office success outside of Bond(that's putting it mildly!)

Oh yeah..Dream House(a crappy haunted house flick-someone posted a story about Craig possibly being in it a while back-looks like it's happening..unfortunately.).. yeah, sounds like a real winner...if you're a Bond nerd who sees anything Porn 'Stache is in

Seeing as you repeat yourself, I'll do the same -katied wrote:How many non- Bond turkeys is Craig going to make before Hollywood realizes he's a nobody when he isn't in the Bond films?
How did the other Bond actors do with their non-Bond films while they were Bond?
Utter troll!!
Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
From what I have observed about Craig, he's not picky about roles..Flashbacks of a Fool, anyone?
Doesn't exactly help his case....

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Or the Invasion...you know a movie is not going to be a hit when its release date is changed, to say nothing of having several directors and needing several retakes. That is never a good thing.

I've been thinking, one of the reasons that katie is not willing to engage in a sensible debate or discussion here is because of a lack of knowledge of the subject matter.
Never have I seen a post to suggest she knows anything about Bond that anyone who merely reads the posts of any of the members here. Most of them are styled similarly to those of her friend BJ's.
Because of this, the only response you're likely to get is as we've noted a repeat performance of the very small back catalogue of Craig bashing.
Craig bad
Eon bad
Broadway bad

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
I agree totally. The majority on here are genuine Bond fans, with their greviance only being the actor himself. BJ comes across with decent knowledge of Bond. His only problem is Craig too.Captain Nash wrote:I've been thinking, one of the reasons that katie is not willing to engage in a sensible debate or discussion here is because of a lack of knowledge of the subject matter.

Katied however, I am not entirely sure what her agenda is anymore, or why she is still here. She started off on MI6 as a MASSIVE Craig fan (obsessive in fact). She even knocked people on this site. Even then, I was't sure whether she was a Craig fan, or an actual Bond fan during her time on MI6. I got the impression she had very little knowledge of the subject matter, back then. Maybe she was just a Craig fan.
When she came here, her main agenda was to get back at MI6 as she felt badly done to on there. To do this, she had to suddenly forget her obsession with all things Craig, and make out here that she hated Craig with a passion. The switch happened literally overnight, and beggers belief. The underlying agenda then was all about MI6, and knocking it whenever possible. Along the way, she had a few other targets that were the brunt of her obsession too - Thrice back on MI6 (which led to her leaving), Amy Whinehouse and a few others that I can't remember now.
The agenda and focus of hatred now seems to be pointed towards Babs herself, and her relationship with Craig. Jealousy perhaps? One wonders. After all, the obsession with Craig was there for all to see during her time on MI6. I don't know anyone else who has seen CR 11 times at the cinema.
Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
* goes and watches the *good* Bond films*- Early Seannery and early Rog. I'm not afraid to hate certain Bond films-even though it seems to be a no-no to do so. To each his/her own.

A Steady Pain 'officially' opens tomorrow night with great Broadway fanfare. The website for the play gives "Telecharge" as the source for purchasing tickets. Interesting thing is that it says no tickets are available for opening night, the next night, Saturday night, the following Saturday nights, etc., making it look like a huge success of sales;HOWVER, doing my investigative searching there are "PLENTY" of tickets available for the next several weeks if you go to "other" ticket sites, which means the advanced sell outs are not initially by the public but by these large groups that buy up a lot of tickets and try to double or triple their investments. IF they cannot unload the tickets, they drastically drop the prices the day before and of the show. It is hard to say if these are sellouts because the original buyer could be stuck with the tickets. We will see. A few links to enjoy: http://justjared.buzznet.com/tags/daniel-craig/ http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/09/2 ... 01595.html (watch video for an idea of what the play looks like)

That's rather telling, is it not? Plenty of tickets available-even at the preview shows? *not* bought by fans?bjmdds wrote:A Steady Pain 'officially' opens tomorow night with great Broadway fanfare. I picture Hugh and Porm 'Stache and the sound of crickets where the audience should be
