Tomorrow night I will be on Broadway and will definitely walk over to A Steady PAIN's theatre and check out the scene.

According to today's Daily Mail, EON has bought the film rights to the play and will "almost certainly" cast Craig and Jackman. A movie version of a dialogue-driven play with two characters and no sets apart from a couple of chairs. Can't effing wait.

One more

The diminutive Craig screws up his lines in rehearsal

On the bright side I do see Jame Bond on that stage. Hint Bond does not wear suspenders!

Who the heck is Jame Bond?
Yes, I realise it's a typo, but give me half an inch and...
Just bought the weekend paper earlier, and was flicking through the tv mag. Guess which movie got the 'movie of the week' ?
A clue, it stars Daniel Craig and was directed by Martin Campbell.
Though it's not a Jame Bond film.

Yet they are willing to go and see one of his films numerous times.
Then decide in order to 'fit in' they'll dislike him and anything he does, or anything the producers of the Bond films do aswell.

Well I just got home from being on Broadway. My group and my gal saw Bye Bye Birdie with John Stamos and Gina Gershon. In 2 words, tolerable but amateurish. It in NO way comes close to the 1963 movie that ALL in the audience related it to. I give it a C+. The new director took liberties with rewriting the storyline somewhat and turning Mae Peterson into an "Archie Bunker" type anti-hispanic comedic bigot, which made no sense. All in all, it does NOT belong on Broadway. I don't see it having an extended long run and judging by the reation of the audience, they agree with me. NOW, to the important event. Prior to seeing the play, I spent 30 minutes inside the theatre where A Steady Pain is playing. There were tickets still available for tonight's show. What I noticed was unmistakable. About 30 people were inside the box office section and I would say 27 of the people on line were women, mostly 35-55. Only 3 men were seen on line purchasing tickets. I waited 30 minutes and left to go see Bye Bye Birdie around the corner. The success or failure of A Steady Pain will be SOLELY driven by NYC women who are into Jackman and/or Craig. From what people were saying Jackman has been very accessible to the people on the street and Craig quite stand-offish, which is typical for him. The marquee looked strange with Craig's name to the left of Jackman's but that's all Broccoli's doing. She desperately wants a Tony nomination for this play and I suspect her checkbook will be useful in this capacity.

Too bad that they had to dumb it down for 00's audiences. The movie is a classic.

That's rather telling, is it not?

Dragged there by their wives, no doubt

Basically, yeah. But plent of tickets avaiable? no real way to put a positive spin on that one!

Doesn't surprise me one bit that Jackman is the nicer of the two!

Stamos and Gershon were SO FAR OFF of Dick Van Dyke's and Janet Leigh's character portrayal and NOBODY does Kim Mcafee like Ann Margret. A classic film which was done on Broadway as if it was a high school theatrical play.

Trouble is though bj, with your hatred of Craig and Broccoli well known, it would be easy for you to spin a story wouldn't it.
Not calling you a liar, but I do take your posts with a pinch of salt.
Now before we carry on, I've got something to show you that'll blow your mind/s.
Ready...
A
B
C - Craig
D
E
F
G
H
I
J - Jackman
L
M
.
.
Do you see a pattern?
It even works the other way too.
A
B
C
D - Daniel
E
F
G
H - Hugh
I
J
.
.
Yep it's that old system of placing actors names...in alphabetical order.

Bj, I think Hugh's name should have been first..but since certain people porn 'stache are in it and they have ties to the producer, they get first billing. :?

Yup! Classic Katied denial and ignorance in play once again for everyone to see.

1) Katied remarks her reasons for why she think Craig is top billing

2) Nash comes back with a logical argument about names appearing in alphabetical order (which is very hard to debate against)

3) Katied chooses to ignore the opinion posted and give her argument for or against, but instead continues in her own little world.

Classic Katied.

You forgot to add, she'll repeat herself often in a vain attempt to bait the pro-Craigs. Posting a similar style post over and over. Some may call it trolling.
