Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
I am back. My Dell laptop required a new LCD display, mouse, and mother board. I have 6 friends with Dell computers and all have had similar problems from 2 months old to 3 1/2 years old, be it a desk top or lap top. I have heard Apple computers are the best out there now. Any opinions my computer savvvvvy buddies? By the way, resurrecting Blofeld, MoneyPenny(not our sweet Katied), and Q is contrary to all Craig initially stated he wanted. That is NOT a new direction but further pulls a Star Trek theme by re-inventing the timeline of the Bond storyline!
Hey, there's a thought. Eon ripping off J.J. Abrams concept of not just a re-boot but a NEW historical timeline
. What nonsense.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
How is that ripping off Abrams? They've been saying Moneypenny and Q would return ever since they were announced that they wouldn't show up in CR. Hell if you wanna look further back, they've already "reinvented" the timeline in 1962 by having Bond and Felix Leiter meet for the first time in Dr. No when in Fleming's book chronology they really met in CR.
As for the rumors...
Robert Pattison has expressed that he's dreamed of getting the James Bond role. Now please DCINBers, even you guys would rather keep Craig over that guy.

It wouldn't make sense to use Moneypenny in a DC film because they'd only have to recast the role with a younger actress when Henry Cavill takes over presently.
Q is another matter I suppose.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Movie timeline is what counts in this matter. Once 1962 showed Dr. No, history began. You don't pull a Back To The Future II timeline reboot with an alternate pathway like Star Trek did and get away with it as Bond. It appears the Bond of today is focused on the Bond pre-Dr. No. If that is the case, let Eon just admit it.stockslivevan wrote:How is that ripping off Abrams? How convenient.bjmdds wrote:Movie timeline is what counts in this matter.
They did in 2006, and nobody but you complained of it. A good three years before Star Trek did that, hell they did that not only because it worked with Bond, it worked with Batman as well so they decided to take it that direction after Nemesis and Enterprise failed.Once 1962 showed Dr. No, history began. You don't pull a Back To The Future II timeline reboot with an alternate pathway like Star Trek did and get away with it as Bond.
Besides, that, does the "timeline" of Bond really matter? A majority of these films are episodic at nature where the events of one film has no effect on the other hence why the "timeline" isn't really something EON ever cared for, nor Bond fans with the exception for the likes of you that get riled up over a reboot but have no problem "continuity errors" that already existed before Casino Royale rebooted.

I said "the likes of you", as in a group of BJs, which is a pretty vocal minority. If it were otherwise then Craig would have flopped with CR like you originally predicted and a Bond 23 with Daniel Craig wouldn't have ever been thought of.bjmdds wrote:Just moi? Moneypenny and Q should return when the real James Bond returns - i.e when a new actor is chosen to play Bond.James wrote:It wouldn't make sense to use Moneypenny in a DC film because they'd only have to recast the role with a younger actress when Henry Cavill takes over presently.![]()

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
Craig and traditional Bond elements won't work, not as long as he is in the role. A new male M with a brainy new female Q might be an interesting thought for the next Bond actor.

Craig is in talks to do a haunted house type of film
as well as Broadway and Tin-Tin. More of the same in terms of box office flops? Micheal Jackson had cardiac arrest 40 minutes ago and is in bad shape.
