I think we'll find out soon if that mod on AJB who insisted Tom Hiddleston was a done deal was talking out of his behind or not. I notice Henry Cavill is looking very youthful and dapper with his tache for Mission Impossible. He's only 34. I wonder if he could come back into contention?

If the rumuours of a Craig return turn out out to be true then that would up Cavill's chances depending on where he is in his career and if he's still playing Superman or some other recurring role.

I've already stated this but honestly I think the Superman role got on Cavill's way to Bond. Who knows how long he will keep playing Superman...we'll see if he'll gain buzz for Bond once again(like with UNCLE) when the new MI movie comes out.

Unless he's already got the role I don't think superman will get the chance.
It's one think to hire a nobody horsing a somebody is not something we've seen eon do.

The idea of Jack Huston is growing on me.

Honestly, whenever I see him I get a sense that he would be a tremendous moustache twirling villain. I've seen him in Hail,Caesar! where he had one scene and for that minute that was the only thought I had.

I think he probably did screentest but never got past that first round because of his accent. And honestly,EON probably thinks that Bond should be played by someone who comes from an English speaking country(except USA) and I can't really disagree with that at all. That being said,Visnjic is hell of a more suitable for the role than Craig.

We ve never seen him in a Bondian type role but he seems to have range as a actor......I saw Ben-Hur finally and thought he did well.

https://theresaolloh.files.wordpress.co ... n_hur1.jpg right here he looks like the guy Bond was talking to at the beginning scene of Casino Royale where Bond chases the bomber. I think Huston with the look he has here but cleaned up and shave is Bond.

Shouldn't he have duck lips to be considered got Bond.? Jk
I never got why Craig got away with his Zoolander look.

on paper he has the right look, he has a history of a bad mustache that has not done him any favors.
Out of a lot of bad possibilities he is growing on me, still haven't seen one of his movies, well I have but don't remember him because he was a side player not the main draw.
Don't hate him if he got the job he might do all right. Still I'd like Turner best right now. Loki the more I see him the less I like him as a bond candidate.

I agree with you on Huston and the history of a bad mustache. That's why in my post above I stated we haven't seen him in a Bondian role. When Turner was in and then there were none he was in a role where he was a spitting image of Bond. While I love Turner and he is my preferred choice for the role I continually ask what if one of the other Bond candidates were in a role like Phillip Lombard in And Then There Were None instead of Turner? Would we all (myself included) still have Turner at the top or could a Jack Huston have the top spot?

To me,even without the moustache Huston looks like he was born to play villains. Charming villains for sure, but still villains not leading man heroes. That's not a bad thing at all, very often villains are the ones that make a movie memorable but because of this I just can't see him as Bond.

Perhaps...still Turner is still at the top along with the unbelieveably charming Ellis. Cavill would follow.

All three great choices but maybe Im blind or just being a typical guy but I don't see much difference in terms of looks between Ellis and Huston and I think Huston is a better actor or at least a more versatile actor.

I'd love to see these guy make a audition maybe their own YouTube channel where they act out the scenes eon uses to test screen.

Im with you on this. Turner is my favorite right now but what sealed it with me was seeing him in And Then There Were None. But, I can't say without hesitation that if one of the other potential Bonds (especially those who have the same physical profile and looks as Turner such as Jack Huston) had been cast in the role of Phillip Lombard that I would still have Turner at #1.
