I wonder if Daniel Craig can survive the critical and commerical faliure that was Quantum of Solace?

He may end up killing the series. :x

On the topic of musicals, I hate them. At least modern ones. Only the past flicks with Fred Astaire and the like are the ones I enjoy.
I'm partial to The Sound Of Music myself...but yeah, most modern musicals?

What about a Bond musical... kidding!!

Inflation adjusted, QOS at the moment is in the middle of the list of the Bond worldwide grossings, right between Tomorrow Never Dies and The World is Not Enough. Not even close to killing the series.

As long as you admit it did QOS did better than Mamma Mia at the US.

It did by fact. I cannot deny a fact. But Bond is SUPPOSEDLY an INTERNATIONAL lock as we have been reminded by many, so facts are facts Stocks, Mammia Mia put the hurt to The Bourne Mimicry. Also, The Invasion grossed $40 million worldwide with an $80 million budget and it's best international market was South Korea! The Golden Compass lost money as a block buster movie. Infamous was pulled in 1 week. Now, TBM is underperforming expectations by EON. How long before the Hollywood fat cats wake and realize DC just 'ain't got it'? IF Defiance does poorly, his career might be done except in lesser roles as odd ball characters which is exactly where he belongs. The best actor ever to play Bond(MGW's words) is anything but a box office draw.

"For Your Eyes Only", a Bond musical in the true image of Daniel Craig's Bond, where Bond, played by DC, falls in love with Felix Leiter, on an assignment. Music and score by Boy George and directed by Rosie O'Donnell.

Underperforming, yes, but nothing horrible. Unless you count Tomorrow Never Dies and The World is Not Enough terrible box office performers. :P

What's that supposed to mean? I thought we'd put that sort of homophobic nonsense behind us when Crazy Deanna and her 40 cats left the site.

Did she really surround herself with cats? Anyway, yeah, let's keep that nonsense out of the discussions. Craig has stated publicly that he doesn't want to play a gay Bond and whatever tabloids say are utterly false.

Moving on.

That has always been a point of contention for Craig in regards to his vision for Bond in the 21st century. He has said it more than once as well.

Four straight days under $600,000 now in the USA. Will this weekend drop it to 6th spot with TDTESS debuting?

Craig does not want a gay Bond. Before QOS was released he said on video that those rumors of wanting a gay Bond scene are utterly false.

I don't have a problem with homosexuality...the idea of Bond being gay is completely and utterly out of character, though

Here's a video interview with Craig where he not only denies rumors of plastic surgery but also denies the gay rumors.

http://www.aftonbladet.se/webbtv/noje/article3537248.ab
Interviewer: "I have to ask you about another rumor that I read, that you're open to gay love scenes."
Daniel Craig: "That's another old rumor that I will clarify here and now, there won't be gay love scenes in any Bond that I make."
So there you go BJ.

Daniel Craig must have had some botox or some other form of plastic surgery. He looked very strange in Quantum of Solace.

Craig seems to only have one facial expression. That's not due to botox though.

Any chance Craig might tackle Broadway in his upcoming career ala Daniel Radcliffe?

It will never beat Madagascar 2 in the USA, it will never top it's muse, The Bourne Ultimatum in the USA, nor will it top CR's total in the UK. If they really spent $170 million in advertising and promoting this worldwide on top of the $200-230 million production budget, it will take the product placement fees to bail out a break even for Eon/Sony. Anyone aware of how much they got paid for product placement in TBM?

I'm guessing that ad space in a Bond film doesn't come cheap.
