That would mean a coup of EON...and that doesn't seem likely..I dunno, how old and the Broccoli/Wilson spawn?(or should we even let them anywhere near the Bond franchise? One wonders if they would have some better ideas than their parentsbjmdds wrote:Come one come all to this site as we explore the current demise of the Bond franchise into a generic unoriginal entity. It will take Bale or Jackman to undo what has been done, but first, Eon must step aside and allow their parent company run the new show and return to basics.

Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
This is how I would do it: 2010 release of Property Of A Lady: to rid the franchise of this reboot trash, I would have the opening scene's premise based around this: Hugh Jackman's Bond is on a mission to rescue a US agent being held for interrogation by the Chinese government. Bond is shown, with the help of marvelous Q-branch gadgetry, defeating the villains standing between him and this US agent. Once he disposes of all of the villains, he enters the room where this US agent is held up, and who does he rescue and save?????....none other than Jinx! Halle Berry gets paid $1 million by Eon for her "brief cameo" and the timeline is once again back to POST DAD storylines, as it should be.
Once 'Duffy' sings the opening song, 'Property Of A Lady' beautifully, the film opens with Bond, played by Hugh Jackman, meeting his new M at MI6(a MALE this time), after his usual by-play with a new Moneypenny, and the plot continues with Bond on his new mission, but first he must meet with a new Q(NOT Cleese) to thank him for the extraordinary gadgets he used in the Jinx rescue and to receive more fascinating things for his newest assignment. I would like McTiernan to direct it as well. I could expound on the storyline to follow, but you get the overall tone......so, how would this make you all feel

I think it's overkill. And, after EON and their surrogates have been trashing DAD at every turn, I can't imagine them turning round and doing something like that. I have some ideas that I was going to work up into a fan screenplay, but time is limited, and I don't think writing a full screenplay purely for my own amusement is an effective use of mine, so I'll work it up into an outline treatment sometime and post it in the fan art section.bjmdds wrote:This is how I would do it: 2010 release of Property Of A Lady: to rid the franchise of this reboot trash, I would have the opening scene's premise based around this: Hugh Jackman's Bond is on a mission to rescue a US agent being held for interrogation by the Chinese government. This weekend estimates:
As per usual I expect Quarks numbers to be lower than estimated. Twilight continues to prove its staying power.
I included the estimated total earnings for Quark and Madagascar to help show the disparity even though they are only a week a part and should have been opening weekend stable mates. Quark is done in the US. No way it will match Madagascar total even though it is not that far off because its performance has dropped off like a injured leg horse at the races. No staying power in the US or worldwide

If I am not mistaken Brozza wanted McTiernan as well. Oh, by the way in my opinion it would be better if John McTiernan was not a fan of the series because fan of series tend to c**k things up with their own fandom view. Although in a few cases it helps (see Spider-man and Raimi) and more than a few would argue that the series is currently cocked up so bringing in fan of the classic Bond couldn't hurt.

The Property Of A Lady would have NOTHING to do with DAD. The use of Jinx would just re-establish the timeline, which is desperately needed, that is all.Kristatos wrote:I think it's overkill. I dunno, bringing back Jinx seems a bit fanwanky to me. I'd rather the re-establisment of the timeline was subtly implied rather than thrown in the audience's face, as I fear that casual moviegoers would be left scratching their heads and wondering what the point was.bjmdds wrote:The Property Of A Lady would have NOTHING to do with DAD. Re: The BJMDDS General Discussion Thread......
TBM is down 33% below the CR 4th weekend box office totals in the USA, with just $6.6 million estimate vs. CR's actual $8.9 million. Given more screenings per day and higher ticket prices, this is NOT what Eon was expecting. TBM has cleared $500 million worldwide but is far off the CR adjusted totals.

Bond 23 should open with a few minutes of the Craig and Dench end scene from QOS in black and white. Then we cut to Judi in bed (in colour). She has been dreaming the black and white sequence. The phone rings. "Oh it's you Bond" says Judi. Then we cut to.....Hugh Jackman in a safari suit and a couple of blondes, and the Bond music plays.....
Bring back Bond!

QOSTBM is now reknowned for the biggest post-Thanksgiving drop in the USA IN THE HISTORY of the Bond franchise AND it lags BEHIND DAD in terms of attendance! Facts, nothing but the facts.

No its not, not really.
Katied has slagged off every other movie out there for various reasons. The Transporter comparisons to Quark are valid and there is a new Transporter movie out too I can't slag off Transporter 3 and say Quark is better.
Twilight may not be your cuppa tea but I can't imagine its worse than Quark or that Australia could be as incoherent telling a story as Forster. There are plenty of really good movies out there right now but they are smaller films.
