Well that too.bjmdds wrote:Or as a possible singer.Captain Nash wrote:It's just a rumour, more than a year before Bond 22 release.
Not going to make anything out of this 'press'.
But I doubt they'd be looking at her as a lead Bond girl. I'm thinking more of a brief cameo / supporting role.
Let's hope it's just a rumour...but if she has too, well I guess she can sing.
Your boycott could come in handy if they pick the wrong artist to perform the title song.

Boycott a song? Nah, just the actor. I saw Spiderman 3 last night. I did not like the storyline nor the lack of chemistry between Parker/Mary Jane, nor the villains. It set box office records, but was lacking from 1 and 2. Interesting that 64% of Spiderman 3's audience is under 25, and 63% of MI3's audience, and 57% of CR's audience, was over 25. There appears to be a definite age demographic for superhero vs. spy movies. To boot, Spiderman 3 raked in $625 million worldwide in just 2 weekends!Captain Nash wrote:Well that too.bjmdds wrote:Or as a possible singer.Captain Nash wrote:It's just a rumour, more than a year before Bond 22 release.

Unlike our latest Bond film.
I thought this topic needed a bump too.

Did Nash see Spiderman 3? It dropped off over 60 percent the second weekend in the USA, yet still has amassed over $625 million worldwide in 10 days. It will be amazing if Harry Potter 5 can top these numbers in July, as it sets up it's head to head battle with Bond 22 in November 2008 as well. Raimi said there will be a Spiderman 4. If 3 can some how top 1 billion, that will be something, and we shall see if POTC 3 can surpass Spidey as well.Captain Nash wrote:And Spidey 3 is a load of s h i t !bjmdds wrote:Boycott a song? Respectable...yes of course. I've edited my post to compensate for that.bjmdds wrote:I take it Carl you have seen what goes on at the MI6 website.carl stromberg wrote:Captain, try not to skirt the filter. This is a respectable family website not MI6And Spidey 3 is a load of s - !
Don't worry about telling us about Mi6, I know what goes on there.
You don't seem to post there anymore bj.

Agreed.bjmdds wrote:No, Luds runs that show and they have Dogbond et al, do their dirty work getting those who do not agree with their Craig Utopian Bond society, to leave the site. They prefer cloned thought, all on the positive side for Craig.

I think it's too one-sided in the Pro Craig camp. There are a few decent members like Thrice who gets constantly nailed even when he posts constructive criticisms.bjmdds wrote:I take it Skywalker the other site in question has become rather tiresome to you as well? I had enough of that websites cast of characters.
If you like CR and DC, you'll get along fine on MI6, If you don't, your an outcast.

This site doesn't try and ridicule the opposite view. Disagree "Yes", but to swamp an honest appraisal that does not follow the mainstream is wrong IMO.bjmdds wrote:Thrice should join here and be appreciated instead of abused as he is at MI6.

Totally agree James.James wrote:I think Carl Stromberg is the best moderator on any of the Bond forums. He doesn't use his position to talk down to anyone and always maintains a sense of humour. (I hope you read this Carl. It must be worth a few points.)
Carl are you watching. I'd like negative points.

Carls an alright mod, but what a kiss ass comment.James wrote:I think Carl Stromberg is the best moderator on any of the Bond forums. He doesn't use his position to talk down to anyone and always maintains a sense of humour. (I hope you read this Carl. It must be worth a few points.)
He does have a sense of humour granted, but he'll go after a pro-Craig member over an anti-Craig, which as a mod is biased and unfair. But I don't have a problem with him.
As for Mi6, if you don't continually drivel on the same stuff over and over again about the same film and discuss Bond as a whole without comparing everything to your hatred of CR, Eon, DC and Barbara Broccoli you'll get on fine.
You don't have to love DC or CR, but constant bashing of it wont help ya. Too many people enjoyed it, and they'll tell you. As for your problem with Luds and Dog Bond bj, well you should try and stick up for yourself more.
On a final note could Thrice and Skywalker be one in the same?

Believe me I did Nash, but over time, the condescending tone directed towards any contrary opinion got tiresome and annoying. This forum is, by far, a level playing field, compared to MI6 and CB.net. The other sites got nasty at times, with uncalled for statements directed at dissenting posters. This is all in fun;however, the other two sites in question made it into personal attacks, by the same members, all the time, which loses it's purpose of entertainment. I could not believe some of the statements made against members on the other two sites. YOLThrice and our Skywalker are not the same person either.
