Yeah, alt.fan.james-bond, which is an unmoderated forum, shows how even a site which has no power to ban dissenters from the current pro-Craig orthodoxy can still create a hostile posting environment for them.

The pro-Craigers on this forum have, I think, been given a lot more respect and courtesy than I would get if I posted my Craig gripes at MI6 or Cbn.

For the most part, yes, though some of Skywalker's jabs at stockslivevan cross the line into personal abuse, I think.

True, and I appreciate it.

However, I do find my posts on here have been somewhat different in tone to the many anti posts on the other forums which have led to bans.

You'll also find a few anti members still residing on the likes of MI6 that haven't been banned for similar reasons to my own on here. If you start flame wars no matter which site you are on, and no matter what side of the fence you are on, mods will be swift to act, you can count on it.

In what way do you consider my posts to be personal insults?

That is quite disappointing from you. I considered you to be a fair minded person. To make that unfounded judgement against me without considering any negative and antagonistic comments towards me is both unfair and unjust.

Both Skywalker and The Sweeney have earned the respect of all on this forum and I for one, personally enjoy both of their thoughts on the subject of James Bond. Both are quite knowledgeable of the subject at hand, as are the rest of us here.

Correct, for there is no Dogbond nor Luds on this forum, both who at first tolerate, then attack all anti-Craig posters on MI6. CB.net has their attackers too. This is the only forum that I feel comfortable being on, for there are no malicious attacks against anyone here, no ugly name calling, and believe me I saw a lot of nasty statements on MI6 during the 18 months I was there. Those who approve of Craig as Bond do have their say here, cordially, intelligently, and respectfully. I also think that the controversy over Craig will escalate, not diminish, as Bond 22 takes shape. It will be an interesting time here starting in January 2008, when filming commences.

True, and I appreciate it.

I wouldn't associate myself with all of the anti-Craig stuff posted on various forums post november 2005. I do think this forum has had some interesting debates and posters have maintained a sense of humour with each other. I haven't looked at the other forums for a while because they had virtually turned into Daniel Craig fansites rather than a place where different views can meet. Cbn is most culpable in this respect for whatever reason. Links to Eon? I have no idea.

I agree 007 that the other sites were more of an 'Eon shill zone' than a debate forum.

Last I remembered he was being sarcastically humorous although it does wear thin from time to time.

I can't feel personally insulted on the internet, esspecially by a DCINBer since they're not worth it.

If I get attacked on here I'll give back as good as I get. But I have been attacked on here at numerous times. It depends on how you deal with it. You can whinge and moan and have a hissy fit (on a public forum) or you can choose to ignore the comments or notify a mod. But to say that pro-Craigers here have a better deal than anti-Craigs on other sites is not entirely true.
I know many members here dislike me, but I have an opinion that I am entitled too. Without the pro-Craigs on this site, what would the site be? Boring.
You also have to remember the constant jibes many of us get for our opinion, I have never tried to convert anyone or rammed down there throat that Craig is the best Bond and thats the way it is kind of attitude. I just like to debate and discuss Bond in a sensible manner. There are some members on here who have some great comments to make and many whom I agree with...and of course there are some who I have no time for.
On the whole I think the site is rather friendly, though at the end of the day the powers that be would probably side with an anti-Craig over a pro-Craig.

There should be NO sides Nash, that is the point. If a forum is Pro-Craig in content, so be it, but contrary opinion should not be attacked as stupidity,as IS done on other forum sites, and vice versa, you or any other pro-Craig posters here should be welcomed, and have a fun and interesting debate. I saw terrible statements made on MI6 and CB.net by one member to another and I could not believe those people were allowed to continue and bottom line, it was always the Anti-Craig posters who left or were thrown off. This forum site is BY FAR, the fairest of them all and all members remain cordial to one another, as it should be. Do you think EON has any underlings reading through ANY of these forums to see what is being written? I suspect they might.

Your previous post instigated that you were on the receiving end of attack minded posts. I simply don't think that is the case. I have always been tongue in cheek when replaying to you and Stock etc.. Likewise I get the impression you are too. I find the endless spaming boring and needless. However, some lighthearted banter is fine and I feel that this is the case on this forum.

Where I take exception is when certain individuals criticise me for making personal attacks against other members. This has 'never' been the case. I like you give as good back and we are both well aware of this.
