So, already QOS has it's faults. Bj must be rubbing his hands in glee right now....
You still do not have me pegged correctly Sweene. I do NOT want the 'franchise' to fail. I want Craig and this ridiculous direction ended and a return to normalcy. What does it say when MGW, Broccoli and Sony ALL think that 'pile of chords' would ever fly? THAT is a major problem. Craig is as uninspiring a Bond as you could get and this Keyes fiasco only ices the cake! They might need a long rest after TBM is released, just to recuperate their losses. What is the final budget by the way? Eon may have test fired the song as well and after reading what we all said quickly called Winehouse and begged her to stay sober long enough to record her version. My choice is the MERCY songstress by the way.

FWIW, I didn't think the song was that bad, just a bit "meh". Certainly nowhere near the atrocity that was Madge's theme for DAD.

I quite liked the Die Another Day theme. At least it was a bit different.

Someone please tell me that wasn't the song to QOS!!!!!!..............it was a prank....yes :?:

The tune was mediocre, and the vocals were muddled.

It makes you truly appreciate what a great talent John Barry was!!

I just listened to the full version. Aside from the cliche horns, I really like the instrumentals a lot. But Keys' vocals suck ass. A huge disappointment given her earlier work.

The last decent Bond theme was Licence To kill. At least that sounded like a Bond theme, if a bit in debt to Goldfinger. You can tell who the really mad fanboys are because they're roaming around the forums now trying to prop that song up and pretend it's really interesting or something. It's just s**t. It's good to see though that a lot of Craig fans have told it like it is on this one.

Sad but true. The only recent tune worth humming is Garbage (TWINE).

LTK was good, my personal favorite is LALD.

Huh? I'd agree on the Michael Kamen score, but the song by Glady Knights? Doesn't sound like Lethal Weapon. Other than that I like it.

I'd say the last good song was YKMN but that was the last one so it doesn't quite work that way so if I go further I'll say GoldenEye by Tina Turner, I enjoy that one.

You would go with Cornell

However YKMN didn't do good business, hardly got radio play time, didn't drive cd sales (didn't help it was neglected to be included in the official soundtrack), those attending the movie were divided about it. It wasn't well received and often listed as a negative for CR.

Still,I suppose it has its fans.

Yup. I really don't give a d**n if it wasn't a success, I still like it. Dalton's tenure was a weak point in the series, even weaker than Lazenby's, but I still think the two films are some of the best the series came up with and Dalton is massively underrated. Even if QOS flops hard I will still be right behind it. That is of course if the film itself is good. :)

Those of you who havn't heard the new Bond title song..................go to the BBC website,
there is a link there to a 40 sec segment of the song.

Reading the replies (on the BBC) to the question of whether people like the song............most disliked it, though there were a lot of people who also thought it was great.
Generally i got the impression that longtime Bond fans disliked it......where the younger generation of music buffs
loved it.

Someone who disliked this song came out with this statement "It sounds like a cat on helium being strangled!" :D
