All I remember (IIRC) was ranting and agreeing with anything negative of Craig, regardless. Like BJ, only boring.

The Dark Knight is now at $919 million worldwide. A phenomenol accomplishment. The third in the series will NEVER top the second. The hype surrounding Ledger's death with the academy award talk for his performance really hyped it. Nothing will come close this year. It is still adding to it's total daily. I have yet to see it. CR's hype with anti-Craig sentiments led to its $592 million worldwide take. TBM will be hard pressed to surpass it this time around.

Forgive me for forgetting certain old members that didn't post anything substantial enough for me to remember them by unlike class members such as Skywalker, Kristatos, and others. :)

The only flicks that have broken the billion dollar barrior were Titanic, LOTR and Pirates 2. I don't think it's too far off to think TDK will make it up there. Quite astonishing. Bond hasn't seen this kind of hype since THUNDERBALL, I would have loved to see how it was like back then. I read that some theaters stayed open for 24 hours because of the high demands.
The third in the series will NEVER top the second. The hype surrounding Ledger's death with the academy award talk for his performance really hyped it.
More factors contributed to its success, not just Ledger's performance. I think after the gigantic success of TDK, a third film could surpass. Nothing is impossible. GOLDFINGER was extremely popular which pretty much paved the way for THUNDERBALL become an even bigger success which at the time before release probably was unfathomable until release.
I have yet to see it.
When you do you'll understand why it really is a success. :) With a solid script, direction, an impressive cast ect ect, you can't beat that!
CR's hype with anti-Craig sentiments led to its $592 million worldwide take. TBM will be hard pressed to surpass it this time around.
We'll see. :)

Although I love TDK, I think Warner Bros. put too much energy on the sequel. In the old saying, save the best for last.

Rich coming from you. And while we are at it, a question.

If you hate MI6 so much, why are you still browsing on there...?

Most of them were just picture of Cregg holding a gun and could have come from pretty much any action franchise.

A couple more gems from the AIC thread.

http://www.aintitcool.com/talkback_disp ... nt_2255708

Mr Craig, why do you suck on lemons so much?

Bond was supposed to have gone to Fettes, which is Tony Blair's old school. Can you picture Daniel Craig's Bond going to Fettes? No, me neither. Perhaps Barbara Broccoli and Paul Haggis have changed Bond's background completely in their desperate attempt to latch onto Jason Bourne and appeal to people who don't actually like James Bond films. "Before being recruited into MI6...originally as a window-cleaner..."
"I can't do that superhero stuff" Daniel Craig

Take away the tuxedo, and you have the same look, the same sized agent, the crewcut type hair, the sour puss facial expressions, the dirty beat up look, nothing suave, etc.....

Katied, I agree. No sole to Craig's Bond, and a mimic of another franchise. This film will SOOO resemble TBU even the SPECTRE group and the Sweenster will see the light.
