The theatrical trailer is expected to come out on September 11th. Note that the CR trailer was released on September 7th, so this news could not be far off.

I saw the QoS teaser trailer in the cinema last night. Blimey, I'd forgotten how rough that man looks on the big screen. He looked like Barry George with blond hair.

Barry George with blond hair? 007 you are right, judging by this upcoming Empire cover:

Darn it, I take a week off from this forum only to return to read...ha that's a joke, no see more and more of katied's endless  emoticons everywhere, and as stocks has often remarked still she brings nothing to the forum.
Even on the ignore list like I have her, she's still impossible to avoid.
:cuss:
Come on katied, make some kind of lame remark about Mi6 or the way that I can't moderate properly.
Join the discussion or **** off, troll, that's an insult to freakin' trolls.
Okay I feel better now. Stocks old buddy, hows about a drink.

That ought to get you a warning(and rightfully so I might add  )At least here, if I get a warning I don't whine about it like you do.I KNOW why I've gotten a warning and am OK with it, while you and Stocksilevan turn into a couple of crybabies when you get a warning.Typical.

When did I ever whine? I only got that one warning for that photo of bush and a baby and I never regretted that. Anyway, that's a dead topic.

When did Benny and I deny it? Really, I haven't had a warning since I compared BJ and you to a 'tarded out Bush and a crying baby, specifically, this one.

So talking about how I got my last warning is essentially gonna get me a warning?

I hope so. Don't deny that you've gotten warnings. I have two, last I knew you did also. The thing is I'm not going around whining about how unjust they are.

That's the big difference between this place and the place that can't be named...when someone gets a warning here it's understood *why* they got it .Over at the place that can't be named they are arbitary. One person might get a pass when they use a swear word, but if I did it the mods jumped all over me like they were trying to make an example of me.Lame.

The warning Thrice got seemed to have taught him a lesson, given how he hardly posts anymore after all the spamming... So it sounds like it's working over there. :)

So I watched TWINE on AMC, one of my first Bond flicks before I became interested in the series. It's still quite an uneven film for me. It tries to keep that OTT aspect from the Moore films while at the same time make it a kitchen sink drama, hence the hiring of Michael Apted. I recall an interview in 2005 that Brosnan expressed that he never felt he got a handle on the Bond role and he that hated the one-liners. Can't blame him. He never really looked like he was having a ball as Bond in these flicks like his predecessors did, although it doesn't come close to Connery's blatant sleepwalking in YOLT.

The main problem in this flick isn't its inconsistent tone of trying to be OTT Moore flick while at the same time be a serious Dalton flick. The story just isn't executed right. After the bomb goes off on MI6 there's a sniper on a boat who starts firing at Bond. Why? It didn't make a lick of sense. She was only placed there not to help progress the plot, but to start the action sequence which also doesn't progress the plot other than giving Bond a plot device injury that he doesn't really have throughout the film except for when it's demanded when he's in Kazakhstan and after that his injury no longer exists. In fact, NONE of the action sequences progress the story. This Bond flick has the most tacked on action sequences of the series. Just imagine the pointless helicopter battle in YOLT and multiply it. The story also attempts to have Bond fall in love with the Bond girl, with the plot twist of her being the main villain which is supposed to conflict Bond's feelings, but that isn't built up nor explored enough in the film to have anyone feel emotionally involved with what Bond is going through. Bond is hired as a bodyguard (shouldn't M place her 00s on more important jobs than babysitting?), without any build up Bond already sleeps with her so we're supposed to buy that he's in love since he doesn't have an objection like in all the other flicks. Elektra comes off too much as a spoiled brat who scorns daddy for not getting her a Lexus for her birthday, as opposed to an intimidating villain. When I want the character to get killed off, it's not because she's the villain, it's because she's annoying as f**k. It's funny how Bond comes back after confronting Renard and he just comes up to Elektra with no real evidence going "A-hah! I caught you!" Then there's Christmas Jones, who really has no place in the film other than to have Bond sleep with a lady at the end of the flick, given that Elektra is dead. In fact, there is no real relationship between Christmas and Bond. She comes off as a woman who isn't really interested in Bond in any way, a sort of Gala Brand. That would have been interesting. Have the ending not with her and Bond sleeping ala Roger Moore ending, but have Bond turned down by the girl, have her real man waiting from the distance and Bond takes a breath and keeps his cool, moving on. Perhaps they'll have this sort of dynamic on QOS between Bond and Camile, I'd really like to see this kind of thing in future Bond films.

On the positive side of things, there really isn't much but I did like the bit during the snow chase where a goon flies off a cliff and Bond makes a quip "see ya back at the lodge" only to see the goon have an extra parachute and cue Bond's face looking annoyed that his quip was pointless. I'll also give this film points for trying to take a more serious direction, despite being hampered by clichés and unnecessary material.

All in all, I give it a 2 out of 5. Close, but no cigar.

You forget katied YOU ARE NOT A MOD!
Stop trying to be a mod, and no warning was given. Might of hit the nail on the head? As Stocks has already pointed out (as usual so well) I don't recall anytime we've received a warning when we didn't either deserve it, but whine after. Unless it was unjust.
Anyway to keep a bit of a Bondian and I know this is hard for some members here *cough* (yeah I can do that s**t to)to do, discussion going on, as I was say over at Mi6 (it has a name) I finally gave in to myself and have decided that after all these years of proclaiming FRWL, or OHMSS as the best Bond films, that what the heck, why deny it. OP is my favourite Bond film of all time. Yes the others are still true classics, right up there with TLD, TB, DN, TSWLM and of course CR  . But OP has long been my Bond film, the one that I really connect with, the one I put on just to get a Bondian fix. Okay so it may not be the best film, but for me it's number 1.
Anyone else got a less than usual Bond in the number one spot? Not that it really matters what film it is, so long as an appreciation of all things Bondian is what does it for ya, even DAD...well.

^Funny, coming from someone who doesn't do his job being a mod over at the place that can't be named. It's only NOW that you've given Thrice a warning, when he should have had one a LONG time ago.But you(and other mods at the place that can't be named ) ignore it when people complain about him. Thrice isn't the problem, the people that complain about him are. That is so typical for the place that can't be named

This feud is becoming a bit tiresome. Who cares about the MI6 forum or what happened there?
