James Bond legend Pierce Brosnan has weighed in on who should take over the role of 007 following Daniel Cr-egg's departure after 2021's No Time To Die. Admitting his Mobland co-star Tom Hardy would be "wonderful" he nevertheless refused to select a name when probed. "I have no picks. I shall leave it open to the powers that be," he said. "It’s a very exciting moment in the history of James Bond. Now that Barbara (Broccoli) and Michael (G. Wilson, former franchise producers) have relinquished the reins of it. "Tom (Hardy) would be wonderful. There’s so many great actors out there who could portray this character. I have no idea who, I have no idea. I wish whoever it is great success. Toi toi toi," he told the Hollywood Reporter.

Brosnan just said the fact that Broccoli is GONE is an exciting moment for the franchise! What a slap in her face and he did not realize it.

Boy would Aidan work as Bond: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hiofoMIbF4U I sent this video to Bezos now. For the easiest way to contact Jeff Bezos, send an email to jeff@amazon.com. Alternatively, try reaching him @JeffBezos on X (formerly Twitter). Use clear and direct language in your message so he's more likely to read it.

During this week’s Summer Game Fest showcase, game developer IO Interactive revealed that Hitman: World of Assassination is getting an all-new DLC Elusive Target: Le Chiffre from Casino Royale (2006). Actor Mads Mikkelsen will reprise his role as the iconic movie villain, marking his second notable appearance in video games since Death Stranding......MP will run out to purchase this.

It was a big day because it confirmed what people had been expecting since Remington Steele was canceled and he did that Diet Coke ad. I do think that it would’ve been different if he had started in 1987 the break was kind of a fresh start and golden eye kind of defined his bond era.
As much as I like Dalton and do wish he had a proper send off third or forth movie , his era wasn’t ready to movie on from Moore yet because cubby had set in nepotism and other problems that were holding the story telling and movie production back.

If brosnan had become bond in 1987 he would have done ok, it might have brought some audience in that had fallen off during end of Moore’s era. But the slight pivot the series made for Dalton then the hiatus and legal trouble actually made goldeneye the perfect launch vehicle for Brosnan’s era. I also think new director helped although I wish they would’ve had someone else for the score that is this films one shortcoming.

I also think how well Dalton could have done with proper support and fresh director and production team.

Totally agree about the score. John Barry would have done it, but they wouldn't pay him what he was worth.

I saw MI:Final Reckoning last night in a crowded theatre with uncomfortable seats. As I said last year, this plot is a ripoff of War Games and Ultron. The film is 2 hours 50 minutes, then add on the RIDICULOUS 25 minutes of previews, and you have to endure 3 hours and 15 minutes in a small seat! There were too long action sequences and little gadgetry and I would recommend to wait until it is free on television and save your dough. The IMAX screening cost us $25.00 for a ticket and I think IMAX is a ripoff and will NEVER see another film in IMAX again most likely.

I actually think Tom Cruise was influenced by the Hunt for October, tomorrow never dies , never cry wolf, and age of Ultron is obvious,

Without going too far into it, I’d say that the villain and the main threat made absolutely no sense nor did the solution to them

I would agree this is not one to see in the theater, although it’s taking lots of screens .

I’m kind of excited for the ballerina spinoff of John Wick and the new karate kid, although it barely has screens for either

True, except

War games the AI JOSHUA wasn’t driven by some kind of malice towards mankind. It was just a child playing, literally a game.

This entity’s motives are less understandable.

Skynet from terminator and the AI from the matrix series actions and motivations make more sense .

Giggling idiot of a villain was just so cheesy. It was hard to watch.

It still was the same premise as Cruise's ripoff: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B53Vlje7mcM

Eh I probably wouldn’t watch it even if it was free.25 dollars is insane but not unheard of WRT IMAX.I REALLY have to want to see a movie to spent that sort of money. And I always get a drink and popcorn.

Just one standard matinee ticket it’s almost $14 then with the convenience fee for using an app you’re almost $17-18

It’s getting to Disneyland levels of expensive..especially if the whole family wants to see some Disney film or something similar. I remember movie tickets being *cheap* when I was a kid-and the local movie theater would show kids movie-you paid one price and could go to a bunch of different kiddie movies. It was good value for money.

A drink and a popcorn is probably close to $20.00 there at the AMC theatre MP.
