I think that's why I defended them! Whatever their faults, they weren't Paul Haggis.

The way I understood it, P&W would create a skeletal frame, which would be handed over to another writer who would flesh out the bones, before handing it over to another who would clothe the corpse before a final writer would dress the cadaver in a fancy hat.

That sounds about right, though I suspect that anything that actually resembled Bond in the Craig films probably came from them, since they started out writing for Brosnan (including the first draft of CR).

Some internet sleuths have drawn parallels with history. Both Daniel Cr-egg and Pierce Brosnan were associated with Omega prior to being officially announced as James Bond. Cr-egg joined as a brand ambassador in 2005 ahead of Casino Royale, and Brosnan in 1994 before GoldenEye. However, those ambassador announcements were made after their casting — unlike Taylor-Johnson, who has been signed before any official Bond confirmation. Critics argue this could be due to the modern era of social media marketing, where timing and announcements play differently than they did decades ago.......if this turns out to be true it is uninspiring and boring and he is NOT a great choice.

The article does say that actors with no connection to Bond have been Omega brand ambassadors before, including one of the stars of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.

Bluesky is like the "old" Twitter, before Space Karen ruined it. Pixelated Boat started out on Twitter, where he gave the world the phrases "milkshake duck" and "Gorilla Channel", before moving to Bluesky.

Likely a nod to the actor who first played him in 1962, this character was subsequently given Scottish ancestry by way of his father.

The Latest James Bond Lawsuit Setback Complicates Amazon-MGM’s Rumored Plans: Per reporting from The Guardian, the legal case brought forth by property Josef Kleindienst has seen a request from Danjaq, LLC to delay proceedings in the name of building a stronger case to maintain key trademarks. More specifically, the James Bond name, the catchphrase that makes great use of said moniker, and the 00-designation are on the line. As Kleindienst claims that UK and EU copyright law allows those signature elements to be examined “after five years of ‘non-use,’” this is a pretty big deal. Danjaq, LLC is the corporate entity is a vital player in all things 007, as it both co-owns the James Bond copyright (with Amazon-MGM Studios), as well as oversees the merchandising (with EON Productions.)

And Babz' sitting on her hands comes back to bite everyone yet again! This lawsuit is frivolous and will be promptly thrown out, but at what cost to the production companies involved?

It won’t go anywhere and I doubt production will be stalled.
Simple reason that 007 games show Amazon forced Babs to make probably ticks all the boxes. That and courts are paid off by the studios to keep production going so I doubt any real slow down on Amazon going forward

Who I thought would sue is the studios signed to distribute the next movie before mgm was sold .

"It's completely beginning and becoming a story, hopefully for a big trilogy out there in the future. And equally important and exciting, it's a new Bond,"

It had to be a new Bond, otherwise the game would consist of sitting in dark corners, pining for dead women and bickering with your foster brother! Press X to pout.
